    摘要: Cyclopropylmethyl-N-n-propylamine is prepared by (a) cyclizing 1,4-butanediol by a cobalt-containing catalyst to 2,3-dihydrofuran at a temperature in the range of about 210.degree.-235.degree. C.; (b) thermally isomerizing the 2,3-dihydrofuran to cyclopropanecarboxaldehyde in an open-reactor columm; and (c) reductively alkylating the cyclopropanecarboxaldehyde with n-propylamine and hydrogen in the presence of a platinum catalyst.

    摘要: A method is provided for separating tris(alkylamino)-s-triazine by-product from chloro-bis(alkylamino)-s-triazines by extracting tris(alkylamino)-s-triazine from an organic solution containing a mixture of tris(alkylamino)-s-triazine and chlorobis(alkylamino)-s-triazine with an aqueous acid solution in the pH-range of 5.4-0.5 and according to a further embodiment of the present invention, treating an alkaline aqueous effluent containing a mixture of chloro-bis(alkylamino)-s-triazine and tris(alkylamino)-s-triazine with an agent capable of reducing the pH value below 5.4 and extracting the chloro-bis(alkylamino)-s-triazine with a water immiscible solvent, the tris(alkylamino)-s-triazine remaining in the aqueous phase.

It is desirable to use a herbicidally effective amount of the chemical formula R1R2N(+)R3R4 X(−), wherein, R1 and R2 are each independently C1 to C4 alkyl; R3 and R4 are each independently C8 to C16 alkyl; X is chloride or bromide. This herbicide may be used alone, or in combination with at least one additional herbicide.

In one example, the trialkylbenzyl ammonium halide includes the chemical formula below C6H5—CH2—N(+)R1R2R3X(−) wherein, R1 and R2 are each independently C1 to C4 alkyl; R3 is C8 to C18 alkyl or alkenyl; X is chloride or bromide. The methods of the present disclosure are useful for controlling both mono- and dicotyledonous plants in a broad range of applications.
