A method for using a self-signed digital certificate for establishing a secure connection between an Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) client and a server on a communications network, including: receiving a communicated self-signed certificate from the EPP client; obtaining a unique identifier of the EPP client, the unique identifier associated with a domain name stored in a Domain Name System (DNS); using the unique identifier to access a designated DNS record in a DNS zone of the DNS associated with the domain name; retrieving the copy of the digital certificate from the designated DNS record, the copy of the digital certificate containing a public key of the EPP client bound to the domain name; authenticating the copy of the digital certificate with the communicated self-signed certificate; and receiving a generated session key from the EPP client to establish the secure connection over the communications network with the EPP client.

A device for applying a two-part adhesive to a substrate includes a carrier, a first pump, a second pump, at least one manifold and at least one applicator. The first pump and the second pump are mounted on the carrier and each pump has an inlet and an outlet. The first pump pumps a first part of the two-part adhesive from its inlet to its outlet, and the second pump pumps a second part of the two-part adhesive from its inlet to its outlet. The at least one applicator is configured to mix the first part with the second part to form the two-part adhesive that is discharged from the outlet of the at least one applicator onto the substrate.

A system for session failover management in a server cluster environment, the system including one or more clusters, each cluster having one or more servers, each server having one or more partition, each partition identified by a partition ID and grouping one or more sessions, and a failover manager configured to detect the failure of any of the servers and effect the assignment any of the partitions on the failed server to another of the servers within the failed server's cluster.

An ion generating apparatus utilizing a vacuum chamber, a cathode and an anode in the chamber. A source of electrical power produces an arc or discharge between the cathode and anode. The arc is sufficient to vaporize a portion of the cathode to form a plasma. The plasma is directed to an extractor which separates the electrons from the plasma, and accelerates the ions to produce an ion beam.

A system for providing a directory service for generating network presence documents may include a computer processor and memory having instructions stored thereon. These may instruct the processor to parse registration information of a member to obtain a set of keywords. Using the set of keywords, the network maybe searched for information about the member, and registration information may be created based on the information. A trusted network presence document may be generated to include at least a first portion of the registration information as read only content. A link may be created between a profile document and the trusted network presence document. The profile document may include at least a second portion of the registration information as customizable content customizable by the member. The document may then be published on the network.

The present invention provides multi-file transfer via instant messaging. A method in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes: selecting a plurality of files to be transferred; generating a collection descriptor describing the files; sending an instant message with a collection reference that includes the collection descriptor to a recipient; and upon receipt of the instant message, the recipient selectively retrieving at least one of the files.

A plurality of applicators is included.
