Abstract: A load ramp for a vehicle includes a corrugated layer that has a first surface and a second surface. A first layer is positioned adjacent to the first surface of the corrugated layer. A second layer is positioned adjacent to the second surface of the corrugated layer such that the corrugated layer is positioned between the first and second layers. A thickness of the load ramp can be in the range of about 10 mm to about 30 mm. A load capacity of the load ramp can be at least about 100 kg. A method of manufacturing the load ramp is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention aims to provide a UV-curable composition having excellent printability, excellent UV reactivity in the presence of oxygen, and excellent adhesiveness at room temperature and high temperature. Provided is a UV-curable composition containing: a curing component containing a (meth)acrylate monomer and a crosslinking component; and a UV curing agent, the (meth)acrylate monomer including, in 100% by weight of the curing component, 50 to 85% by weight of a monomer that, in a form of a homopolymer, has a glass transition temperature of −70° C. to −30° C., a cured product being obtained by applying the composition to a substrate at a thickness of 150 μm and irradiating the composition, without sealing an upper surface of the applied composition, with UV light having a wavelength of 315 nm to 480 nm at an irradiance of 90 mW/cm2 and a dose of 1,350 mJ/cm2 in an atmospheric environment, the cured product having a gel fraction of 0.4 to 78%, a glass transition temperature of −35° C. to 10° C., a reaction percentage of 83% or higher, and a reaction progress percentage on a surface facing the atmosphere of 93% or higher relative to a surface facing the substrate.

Abstract: A method of bonding first and second substrates to each other the substrates having respective bonding surfaces to be bonded together, comprising:
(a) applying to the bonding surface of at least the first substrate a redox-active metal catalyst primer to form a primed surface;
(b) activating the primed bonding surface of the first substrate by exposing the primed bonding surface to actinic radiation;
(c) applying, to the so activated bonding surface of the first substrate, and/or or to the bonding surface of the second substrate, a UV curable anaerobic adhesive;
(d) mating the bonding surfaces together with the UV curable anaerobic adhesive therebetween; and
(e) exposing the UV curable anaerobic adhesive between the mated surfaces to actinic UV radiation. The method is particularly suited for obtaining bonds with good tensile shear strength with electrical substrates coated with an insulating varnish.-

Abstract: A method of manufacturing double-sided thermally-printable ballot stock is disclosed, comprising: receiving a first and a second input roll of paper having a thermo-sensitive ink layer and a base paper layer and emitting a first web; tension evening of the first and second web using festooning rollers; applying an adhesive in a liquid state using anilox rollers to the base paper layer of the first web; laminating the first web and the second web through laminating rollers, with the base paper layer of the first web contacting the base paper layer of the second web using the adhesive to create a laminated output web; heating the laminated output web to cure the adhesive in an oven while moving the laminated output web through the oven; and reducing a temperature of the applied liquid adhesive in the laminated output web.

Abstract: The packaging material includes a heat-resistant resin layer 2 as an outer side layer, a heat-fusible resin layer 3 as an inner side layer, and a metal foil layer 4 arranged between these layers. The heat-resistant resin layer 2 is made of a heat-resistant resin film having a hot water shrinkage rate of 1.5% to 12% and the heat-resistant resin layer 2 and the metal foil layer 4 are adhered via an outer side adhesive layer 5. The adhesive layer 5 is formed by an urethane adhesive agent containing a polyol, a polyfunctional isocyanate compound, and an aliphatic compound containing a plurality of functional groups capable of reacting with an isocyanate group in one molecule. With this, a packaging material can be provided in which excellent formability can be secured and delamination can be sufficiently suppressed without causing pinholes, etc., even when deep depth drawing is performed.

Abstract: A ribbon laminated body (1) used for creating a honeycomb core is constituted by a plurality of layers of ribbons (2) laminated, a low-temperature curing adhesion portion, and a high-temperature curing adhesion portion. Abstract: A reinforcing film comprises a pressure sensitive adhesive layer laminated and fixed on a principal surface of a film substrate. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed of a photocurable composition containing a photocurable agent and a base polymer having a crosslinked structure. The gel fraction of the photocurable composition is preferably 60% or more. The shear storage elastic modulus at 25° C. of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is preferably 1×104 to 1.2×105 Pa. The shear storage elastic modulus at 25° C. of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer after photocuring is preferably 1.5×105 to 2×106 Pa.
