摘要: In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a wireless access point controller configured to receive information associated with a topology of a network including information associated with which access switch from a set of access switches each virtual local area network (VLAN) from a set of VLANs is associated. The wireless access point controller is configured to associate each VLAN from the set of VLANs with a unique tunnel identifier from a set of tunnel identifiers. The wireless access point controller is configured to provide each wireless access point from a set of wireless access points control information including the set of tunnel identifiers such that a wireless access point from the set of wireless access points can send a data packet received from a wireless device to an access switch from the set of access switches associated with a destination VLAN from the set of VLANs using the tunnel identifier associated with the destination VLAN.

摘要: A connector and method of crosstalk compensation within a connector is disclosed. The method includes determining an uncompensated crosstalk, including an uncompensated capacitive crosstalk and an uncompensated inductive crosstalk, of a wired pair in a connector. The uncompensated crosstalk includes common mode and differential mode crosstalk. The method includes applying at least one inductive element to the wired pair, where the at least one inductive element is configured and arranged to provide balanced compensation for the inductive crosstalk caused by the one or more pairs. The method further includes applying at least one capacitive element to the wired pair, where the at least one capacitive element is configured and arranged to provide balanced compensation for the capacitive crosstalk caused by the one or more wired pairs.

摘要: Determining the viability of an egg by: (a) causing electromagnetic radiation, having one or more wavelengths in the infra-red part of the spectrum, to impinge upon the egg; (b) receiving at least a part of the infra-red radiation that has passed through the egg and generating an output signal representative of the received infra-red radiation; and (c) processing said output signal to determine whether there is a cyclical variation in the intensity of the infra-red radiation leaving the egg corresponding to action of a heart, the existence of said cyclical variation indicating that the egg is viable; wherein step (a) is performed by directing infra-red radiation so that it passes through the shell for reflection from an outer surface of a vascular structure adjacent an inner surface of said shell, and step (b) is performed by receiving any infra-red radiation so reflected.

摘要: An apparatus (10) for determining the viability of an egg, which apparatus (10) comprises shielding means (12, 14), emitting means (30) and detecting means (32), the arrangement being such that, in use, the shielding means (12, 14) inhibits exposure of an egg to background infra-red radiation, said emitting means (30) can emit electromagnetic radiation at infra-red wavelength(s) to impinge on the egg, and the detecting means (32) are positioned to detect at least a part of said electromagnetic radiation that has passed through the egg, the apparatus further comprising means for processing an output signal of the detecting means to determine whether there is a cyclical variation in the intensity of the infra-red radiation leaving the egg corresponding to action of a heart, the existence of said cyclical variation indicating that the egg is viable.

摘要: A shock absorbent support for an elongate member comprises a resilient shank with opposite first and second ends and an attachment means at the first end. A resilient body member at the second end has a slot with a receptacle portion and divides the body member into adjoining fingers each having an edge. The fingers are partable whereby the edges are sufficiently spaced for an elongate member to pass therebetween into the receptacle portion. A strap has a first end portion connectible to one of the fingers and a free end portion detachably connectible to another of the fingers for retaining the fingers in mutually closed relationship for retention of the elongate member in the receptacle portion.

摘要: An electronic mobile device comprises a base forming an inner surface and having a base hinge end. A cover having a cover hinge end is engaged with the base hinge end, and the cover is pivotable about a hinge axis that is substantially parallel to the inner surface of the base. The cover is movable from a closed position to an open position and vice versa relative to the base. In the closed position the cover is disposed proximate the base, and in the open position the cover is disposed away from the base. A base magnet having a first magnetic axis is supported at the base hinge end, and a cover magnet is supported at the cover hinge end so as to move with the cover relative to the base. The cover magnet has a second magnetic axis and interacts with the base magnet. Interaction of the base magnet and the cover magnet tends to align the first magnetic axis and the second magnetic axis and thereby bias the cover towards at least one of the closed position and the open position.
