Abstract:
A method of aiding the piloting of an airplane ensures the availability of an automatic pilot and a thrust regulation system on board the airplane. To this end, the method includes determining first information by measuring the actual airspeed of the airplane, and this first information is used to control the automatic pilot and the thrust regulation system in a primary mode during normal operations of the airplane. When the first information is lost by becoming unavailable or unreliable, the automatic pilot and the thrust regulation system are each controlled in a secondary mode by control parameters determined using additional flight data independent from the actual airspeed of the airplane and the first information. Consequently, an alternative or redundant control is supplied for ensuring the continued operation of an automatic pilot without necessary intervention from crew members on board the airplane.
Abstract:
Method and device for automatically monitoring the ability of an aircraft to follow a flight trajectory with at least one turn. The monitoring device (1) includes means (6, 8, 10, 11, 14) for implementing monitorings in order to estimate the ability of the aircraft to follow at least one turn of the flight trajectory.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for optimizing a search of a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) by a mobile terminal having a nonvolatile memory and a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card. The method includes: searching for a PLMN based on priority information registered in the SIM; regarding the PLMN that has been found, determining whether the SIM card includes any priority information about at least one particular radio access technology associated with the PLMN; when priority information is included, selecting a cell of the PLMN; when priority information is not included, determining whether the nonvolatile memory includes any information about at least one particular radio access technology to be selected on a priority basis in a country of the PLMN; when priority information is included, selecting a cell of the PLMN for which the particular radio access technology has been developed; and when priority information is not included, selecting a cell where a radio access technology, which is set beforehand by default in the nonvolatile memory for all countries that are not listed in the nonvolatile memory, has been developed.
Abstract:
The method of the invention includes forming a difference between left and right braking commands, by converting the difference into an additional control command for rudder and for a steerable nose gear, and applying the additional control command to the rudder and steerable nose gear according to both of the following conditions: the difference is greater than a first threshold and the combined control command transmitted to the rudder and steerable nose gear by a rudder bar is less than a second threshold.
Abstract:
A method and a device for activating an automatic piloting mode of an aircraft are disclosed. The device can include means for engaging an automatic pilot mode, when (i) the current distance of the aircraft with respect to a reference position on the ground belongs to a determined distance range, and (ii) the current height of the aircraft is at most equal to a reference height associated to the automatic pilot mode.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a culinary item comprising a dished body defining a bottom and a lateral wall, and provided with an inner surface for receiving food and an outer surface for positioning next to the heat source, at least one of the surfaces of the lateral wall being covered by an anodising layer and the outer surface of the bottom being at least partially enamelled. The invention also relates to a method for producing one such item.
Abstract:
A non-scratch enameled cooking utensil and method of manufacturing the cooking utensil. The cooking utensil can comprise a base with an inner face adapted to receive food and an outer face adapted to be positioned proximate a heat source. The outer face is coated with an enamel coating which comprises rounded fillers. Some of the rounded fillers protrude from the enamel coating such that said protrusion is visible from an outer surface of the enamel coating. At least some of the rounded fillers are formed from a material having a melting point greater than 900° C. and MOHS hardness less than 6. The protruding rounded fillers are distributed homogeneously on the outer surface of the enamel coating.
Abstract:
The inventive method consists in forming a difference (D1) between left and right braking commands (FG, FD), in converting said difference (D1) into an additional control command (D2) for rudder (16) and for a steerable nose gear (4) and in applying said additional control command (D2) to said rudder (16) and steerable nose gear (4) according to both following conditions: the difference (D1) is greater than a first threshold and the combined control command transmitted to the rudder and steerable nose gear (4) by a rudder bar is less than a second threshold.
Abstract:
The system embodying the invention involves a communications instrument comprising a sensitive surface coupled to a processor ensuring management of a plurality of display elements, the dialogue between said instrument and said processor taking place according to a sequence comprising a first operational mode in which the sensitive surface is virtually divided into a plurality of zones corresponding isomorphically with the geometrical disposition of the display elements, and a second operational mode in which a variable displayed on a visualisation element is modified subsequent to displacement of the operator's finger on the sensitive surface. This system is notably suitable in the case of management of a large number of display elements and is highly ergonomic.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a device for fastening a guy to a concrete bridge deck. A metal plate is abutted against the horizontal surface of the deck and retained there with pre-stressing cables at its top surface and an extension which protrudes downward into the deck from its bottom surface. An anchoring device is mounted on the upper surface of the plate. It may be positioned to keep the guy in a plane parallel to the plate and do not require that the cables pass through the deck. The deck may have spaced bearing surfaces that are angled and/or are parallel to one another and support anchoring devices that keep the cables running in different directions from one another.
