    摘要: A hitter training device is described that is easily transportable, is not bulky, and does not require complex assembly and disassembly. The hitter training device also readily facilitates hitter training for right-handed hitters, for left-handed hitters, or for switch hitters. The device includes a support, a cord, a ball, and a clamp. The support has a first end, a second end, and a mid-section, and the first and second ends are axially offset from the mid-section. The cord is coupled to the support between opposing portions of the support that are axially offset from the mid-section, and has a length such that, when it is coupled to the support, the cord is not taut. The ball is mounted on the cord. The clamp is coupled to the support and is configured to temporarily mount the support, in a releasable manner, to a structure.

    摘要: An article of headwear to treat an infant's persistently maintained head position with respect to rotation about the cranial-caudal (head to toe) axis, seen in conditions such as plagiocephaly (baby flat head) and torticollis (wry neck). The headwear both permits and encourages an infant with a preferred head position to volitionally turn his or her head in several positions thereby promoting head and neck rotation and development of a naturally shaped cranium, thus treating or preventing torticollis and plagiocephaly respectfully. The infant headwear generally includes a head receiving member and positioning guide member. The head receiving member is placed on the infant's head and allows strategic placement of the positioning guide member. The positioning guide member increases the ability of the infant with a flat region to turn his or her head by re-establishing a round contour, and selectively increases cutaneous pressure in order to balance the variables influencing the infant's preferred head position.

In one aspect, a beverage material is pressed to the bottom of a beverage container by means of a press ring including a filter.     摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus for instilling fluid into a patient having an intestinal stoma so as to administer an antegrade colonic enema. The portable instillation apparatus comprising in combination: a fluid reservoir, a pump assembly, a control module, a fluid delivery tube and an intestinal stoma catheter wherein the control module is operable to automatically deliver a predetermined volume of instillation fluid at a specific flow rate and pressure range suitable for a particular patient. The portable instillation apparatus utilities a gear pump manifold and a robust empty reservoir detection mechanism, facilitating the portability, durability and reliability of the apparatus over-coming the disadvantages of traditional peristaltic pump mechanisms. The portable instillation apparatus maximizes the ease of transport and use of the device while also enabling a method for a patient to self-administer an antegrade colonic enema within a short time period and without intervention.

    摘要: A sealing arrangement for a stator shroud segment is provided that includes a resilient seal to reduce air leakage and improve turbine engine efficiency. The stator shroud segment includes an outer shroud having a leading edge groove and a trailing edge groove, and a plurality of inner shrouds each having a leading edge hook and a trailing edge hook. The leading and trailing hooks of each of the inner shrouds are respectively engaged with the leading and trailing edge grooves of the outer shroud so as to connect the inner shrouds to the outer shroud. A resilient shaped seal is located on a leading edge hook of the inner shroud so as to be between the leading hook and a retaining ring that contributes to holding the inner shroud in place.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for storing an MPEG-2 transport data stream with a conventional digital video (DV) recorder is described. The packetized MPEG-2 transport stream data is inserted into a data block of a digital video (DV) frame. The digital video frame is stored on the storage medium of the DV recorder. The DV frame may be inserted into an isochronous data transfer packet for transfer to the recorder over an IEEE 1394 serial bus. On the other hand, the MPEG transport stream data may be transferred to the recorder over the IEEE 1394 serial bus before the data is inserted into the DV frame for storage. For playback, the stored DV frame can be copied into an IEEE 1394 packet for transfer to the television receiver where the MPEG data is extracted from the frame, decoded and presented. On the other hand, the MPEG data may be extracted from the stored DV frame before transfer to the receiver over the IEEE 1394 bus.
