    摘要: An arrangement for orienting a device angularly, such as an outside rear view mirror for a motor vehicle, is provided with a back element on which the device to be oriented is installed. The back element has a first portion of a coupling element, which may be in the form of a ball, and a first spherical gear arranged concentrically in relation to the first portion of the coupling element. A base portion having a second portion of the coupling element, which may be a corresponding socket, engages with the first portion (the ball) of the coupling element. In addition, a motor having a rotatory shaft is installed on the base portion, and a worm drive element is installed on the rotatory shaft and arranged to engage the first spherical gear when the first and second portions of the coupling element are engaged with each other. The engagement between the worm drive element and the first spherical gear is arranged to disengage in response to the application of a force through the first spherical gear, and may include an intermediate structure, such as worm gear-worm combination element.

    摘要: Variation in the contours of first and second compliant surfaces is produced by a compliant frame having a first resiliently variable frame element (120) having a corresponding first outer surface (122) and a first inner surface (124), and a second resiliently variable frame element (130) having a corresponding second outer surface (132) and a second inner surface (134). The first and second outer surfaces (122, 132) communicate with respective ones of the first and second compliant surfaces. A linkage element (141-144) having a predetermined resilience characteristic is coupled at a first end thereof to the first inner surface (124) and at a second end thereof to the second inner surface (134). A frame coupler (151) couples the first resiliently variable frame element (120) to a support element (150). An actuator (106) applies a force to the second resiliently variable frame element (130) with respect to the support element (150), resulting in a corresponding variation in the contour of the first and second compliant surfaces.

    摘要: A displacement modifying structure for receiving an input displacement from a motor source and generating a multiplied displacement therefrom for provision to a load. The structure includes a static beam and a dynamic beam. The static beam has a fixed end and a movable end while the dynamic beam has a first end and a second end. The first end of the dynamic beam is connected between the motive source and the movable end of the static beam. The second is also connected through a pivotless joint to the movable end of the static beam. Upon movement of the first end over a first distance by the motive source, the second end of the dynamic beam and the movable end of the static beam move over a second distance for provision to the load. The second distance, or output displacement is greater than the first distance.

The airflow diverter feature includes a circular disk mounted to the housing of the electric machine. The disk defines a plurality of vents forming an axial air passage. A plurality of radial air passages are in fluid communication with the axial air passage. The airflow diverter feature defines at least one inlet and at least one outlet. The inlet comprises at least one interior choke and the outlet comprises at least one exhaust choke. The interior choke and the exhaust choke are sized to control a rate of air flow through the radial air passages.

    摘要: Improved hand-held, hand-powered spraying devices are provided herein. The improvement provides the ability to spray viscous fluids in an even consistent spray without the use of propellants or outside compressed air or power sources. The spraying apparatus are constructed to provide air delivery to a nozzle assembly, followed by combined air and liquid delivery, followed by air delivery after cessation of liquid delivery, all with a single stroke of a single trigger. One particular apparatus provided is a trigger sprayer which utilizes the compression of dual chambers with a single trigger stroke, and another apparatus is a compression sprayer which utilizes a hand pump and a single container for holding air and liquid. Additionally, a combination pour spout trigger sprayer device is provided.
