摘要： A method for the coating of glass surfaces in order to prevent the scattering of glass particles upon bursting, with a transparent, duroplastic protective coat by depositing a paste of hydroxy group-containing 1,2-epoxy compounds with at least one 1,2-epoxide group in the molecule and a lower melting point of more than 40.degree. C. and hardening agents, and hardening the overlay at higher temperatures; which comprises first treating the clean glass surface with an aqueous or alcoholic silane skim coat, drying said surface if necessary and thereafter warming said surface to a temperature up to 120.degree. C., coating the glass surface with said paste of hydroxy group containing 1,2-epoxy compounds and hardening said paste with further addition of heat, wherein said hardening agents are polyisocyanates blocked with cyclic amidines of the general formula ##STR1## wherein the R's are the same or different substituents selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl-, cycloalkyl-, arylalkyl- and aryl, wherein the hardening agent is added in an amount of 2-15% by weight, calculated with respect to the amount of 1,2-epoxide compounds.

摘要： Baking lacquers on the basis of a blend of hydroxy-group-containing polymers, blocked polyisocyanates and organic solvents which comprise40-70 wt. % hydroxy-group-containing polymers with hydroxy numbers between 40 and 240 and polyisocyanates blocked with cyclic amidines of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R are equal or different substituents selected from the group of hydrogen, alkyl-, cycloalkyl-, aralkyl- and aryl radicals, whereby the components are used in such amounts that 0.8 to 1.2 NCO-group equivalents are applied for each hydroxy group equivalent,0-2 wt. % cross-linking catalyst,30-60 wt. % organic solvent or solvent mixture, wherein the percentages of polymer, catalyst and solvent add up to 100. Pigments, colorants, flowing agents, gloss improvers, antioxidants and heat stabilizers may also be added. The lacquers are used for coil-coating lacquering in weather resistant single and double layer lacquering.

C., blocked polyisocyanates and optionally catalysts, wherein the coating material contains polyisocyanates blocked with cyclic amidines of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R=equal or different substituents selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl-, cycloalkyl-, aralkyl-, and alkyl radicals. A method for the production of the above mentioned coating materials and a process for coating substrates with these materials is also disclosed.

摘要： Coatings having a matt finish are made by applying a powder varnish composition to a substrate and thereafter reacting the varnish at a temperature of 100.degree. to 240.degree.C to form the matt finish coating. The powder varnish composition is a finely divided, particulate mixture ofI. a 1,2-epoxy compound having a melting point greater than 40.degree.C and containing at least one 1,2-epoxy group; andIi. a salt of a polycarboxylic acid (such as pyromellitic acid) containing three or more carboxyl groups and a cyclic amidine (such as 2-phenylimidazoline).

C, the said method being characterized in that one uses as cyclic amidines imidazoline or tetrahydropyrimidine derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## IN WHICH N EQUALS 2 OR 3; M EQUALS 1 OR 2; R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are identical or different, and represent hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, heterocyclics, ether, theoether, halogen, --N(R).sub.2, nitro groups, keto groups, ester groups or carbonamide groups, and R represents alkyl, alkylene, an aryl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl or heterocyclic radical, substituted if desired with halogen, nitro groups, alkyl groups, alkoxy groups or amino groups, and, when m equals 1, represents also hydrogen, a plurality of radicals being able to be joined, also by hetero atoms such as O, N or S, if desired.
