摘要: The invention relates to composite particles, coatings, and coated articles. An article is provided at least partially covered with a coating defining a slippery surface. The coating comprises a layer of particulate material bound to the article and a substantially immobilised lubricant at least partially covering and penetrating into the layer of composite particulate material. The composite particulate material comprises a carrier particle at least partially coated with a hydrophobic material. A further article is provided at least partially covered with a coating comprising a layer of the composite particulate material bound to said article. This is useful in preparation of the article having a coating defining a slippery surface. Methods of preparing the coating and the articles are also provided.

摘要: A method of forming a digital embossing on a surface by bonding hard press particles to a carrier. A liquid binder pattern is applied on the carrier by a digital drop application head. Hard press particles are applied on the carrier and the binder pattern such that some hard press particles are bonded to the carrier by the liquid pattern and non-bonded press particles are removed. The carrier with the bonded hard press particles is pressed to the surface and an embossing is formed when the carrier with the hard press particles is removed.

摘要: A method of powder coating a substrate includes receiving a powder coating material into a feed input, using the feed input, melting the powder coating material into a homogeneous fluid of powder coating material, receiving the homogeneous fluid of powder coating material into a filament extension atomizer positioned in-line with the feed input, atomizing, with the filament extension atomizer, the received homogeneous fluid of powder coating material into multiple droplets of powder coating material, cooling the droplets of powder coating material to a processing temperature that prevents the droplets from agglomerating, and directing the cooled droplets through a deposition passage positioned in-line with the filament extension atomizer, the deposition passage configured to direct at least a portion of the cooled droplets towards a substrate.

摘要: A restoration system which is used to restore brick, glass, concrete, metal, plexiglass, and stone to their original color and preserve the materials. The restoration system includes a treatment composition overlay including a first-dry-part, a second-dry-part, a first-liquid-part, and a second-liquid-part. The first-dry-part is an acrylic based dry polymer. The second-dry-part is an acrylic based dry hardener. The first-liquid-part includes polymeric resin, water, acrylic polymer, and sodium. The second-liquid-part includes acrylic resin, water acrylic polymer, aqueous ammonia, and additives. The first-dry-part, the second-dry-part, the first-liquid-part, and the second-liquid-part are configured to be mixed to create a treatment composition overlay for restoring and preserving at least one surface.

摘要: A technique for manufacturing slickline with a jacket of enhanced bonding. The technique may include roughening an outer surface of a metal core and applying an initial insulating polymer layer to the roughened core in a non-compression manner such as by tubing extrusion. The insulated core may then be heated and run through a set of shaping rollers. Thus, the grip between the polymer and the underlying metal core may be enhanced at a time following the initial placement of the polymer on the core. In this manner, processing damage to the underlying core surface which might adversely affect maintaining the grip may be minimized. Other techniques such as powder spray delivery of the initial polymer layer may also be utilized in a similar manner.

摘要: When a slurry in which a rare-earth-compound powder is dispersed is applied to sintered magnet bodies 1 and dried to apply the powder thereto, the sintered magnet bodies 1 are conveyed by a conveyer 2 and made to pass through the slurry 4 to apply the slurry to the sintered magnet bodies 1. Furthermore, a plurality of push-up members 51, which pass through insertion holes 22 provided in a conveyor belt 21, and protrude above the conveyor belt, are used to temporarily push up the sintered magnet bodies 1, and temporarily separate the conveyor belt 21 and the sintered magnet bodies 1. As a result, the slurry can be efficiently applied, even mass production can be suitably dealt with, and the slurry can be uniformly and reliably applied to the entire surface of each of the sintered magnet bodies.

摘要: An optically variable device may be manufactured by aligning magnetic flakes on a surface of an adhesive layer by applying the flakes onto the adhesive layer surface in presence of a magnetic field, and curing the adhesive layer having magnetic flakes adhered to the adhesive layer. When cured, the adhesive layer holds the magnetic flakes oriented, enabling subsequent encapsulation of the oriented magnetic flakes in a coating layer on the adhesive layer, without a substantial loss of orientation of the magnetic flakes.
