摘要: The present invention relates to a tub for bathing infants or children. The tub includes a receptacle for containing water and for receiving an infant. The tub also includes a selectively removable insert or positioning member that can be used to change the bathing area inside of the tub. When the positioning member is locked to the tub, the positioning member defines two separate infant seating positions within the tub. The positioning member is removable from the tub to allow the entire receptacle to be used.

摘要: Children's ride-on vehicles. The ride-on, or ride-on vehicle, includes a frame having a seat adapted to support a child, and a drive assembly with a battery-powered motor assembly. The ride-on vehicle further includes one or more steerable wheels and one or more driven wheels. In some embodiments, the ride-on vehicle includes a biasing assembly that is connected to the frame and adapted to bias the seat away from the vehicle's driven wheels. In some embodiments, the ride-on vehicle includes a free-floating wheel, which is unbiased and travels within a defined range of positions with respect to the ride-on vehicle's frame as external forces are imparted to the wheel. In some embodiments, the ride-on vehicle includes a high-speed switch positioned for momentary high-speed operation of the ride-on vehicle and a user-manipulable portion may be provided to enable a child to select such a high-speed configuration.

摘要: A children's ride-on vehicle is provided with a chassis formed at least in part of molded plastic, a seat mounted to the chassis and configured to accommodate a driver, and first and second driven wheels mounted to the chassis on opposite sides of the seat. The wheels are coaxially rotatable in a first plane and a second plane, wherein the wheel planes are substantially parallel to one another. A motive power source for the wheels, including a battery and two electric motors is mounted to the chassis and is operable to drive each wheel selectively in a forward direction or a reverse direction under control of a foot-pedal power/braking switch and two armrest-mounted joysticks. Each joystick has three positions, neutral, reverse, and forward and the child can press both forward to go forward, press both in reverse to go backwards, press one forward and one in reverse to spin clockwise or counterclockwise about a central point, or press one in forward or reverse and leave the other in neutral, allowing coasting of the associated wheel for turning in a gentle arcing fashion. Moving both joysticks to neutral allows coasting of the vehicle while a foot pedal is depressed. A caster wheel mounted to the chassis aft of the driven wheels is configured to cooperate with the driven wheels to hold the chassis in a level attitude. A skid pad mounted to the chassis forward of the driven wheels is configured to contact and slide along the surface to maintain the chassis generally in the level attitude, when the caster wheel loses contact with the surface.

摘要: A ride-on vehicle for children having a chassis and a plurality of wheels rotatably connected to the chassis, the vehicle further comprising a simulated roll cage attached to the base, the roll cage configured to allow an upper portion of a seated child driver's body to extend above an upper boundary of the roll cage, and a door attached to the roll cage and rotatable about a horizontal axis, the door being configured to allow a driver to enter and exit the vehicle. The roll cage can include a plurality of molded plastic parts assembled in such a manner to resemble an integral framework of interconnected tubing. The door is held in a closed position by a friction fit between the door and the roll cage. The friction fit is disposed at a position above the horizontal axis.

摘要: An apparatus and process for tinting plastic material; specifically, polycarbonate and other plastic eyeglass lenses. The dye solution has an elevated boiling point which allows for dyeing of the material at rates and temperatures above 212 degrees F. The dye solution temperature is maintained and controlled within a preselected tolerance by a temperature controlling unit and its associated heater, which is affixed to the dyeing tank. Dye solution is agitated and dispursed by a stirrer and stirring apparatus, and dye solution level is maintained by an automatic fill apparatus.

摘要: An apparatus and method for use with a bushing assembly of the type wherein glass fibers are drawn through an orifice plate having a flat undersurface against which bulk gas is directed to effect cooling and fiber attentuation. A selectively adjustable bulk gas nozzle has a plurality of discharge conduits with valves therein which are adjustable and capable of being selectively operated to close the conduits or return the conduits to a preset open condition. Mounting means supports the nozzle and/or a binder applicator for select movement toward and away from the path of fiber being drawn from the orifice plate. A detector senses the presence of fiber being drawn from the orifice plate and, in the event of fiber break-out, initiates a series of steps to warn the operator of the bushing assembly and, in the event the break-out condition is not corrected, shut down the drawing operation.
