    摘要: A regenerative braking apparatus for a battery operated vehicle includes rotation direction detection devices for detecting the rotation directions of respective axles of two front wheels, a current direction judgment device for judging respective field current directions of two propulsion motors based on respective outputs from the rotation direction detection devices, and a current direction control device for controlling the field current direction of the propulsion motors based on the output from the current direction judgment device. In this way, even when close to the steering angle for inner wheel stop turning, concern for external action rotation of the propulsion motor for driving the inner wheel is eliminated, enabling control of regeneration at the time of turning to be carried out with good efficiency.

    摘要: An energy-saving and high-efficiency electric vehicle which uses a set of accumulator batteries as a power source and is driven by multiple motors of different powers, each motor having its own circuit system and switching device. When greater resistance is encountered by the vehicle, such as when it starts or is going uphill, the large and small power motors are actuated simultaneously to provide a resultant force. After starting, when inertial force increases and resistance relatively decreases, the small power motor alone can be actuated, but the maximum r.p.m. it can impart to the driving shaft should be higher than that imparted by the large power motor. In this way it is possible to save energy, thereby lengthening the time and distance of continuous travel of the vehicle. At the same time, the vehicle is of lower cost, is convenient to drive, and does not pollute the environment.

The processor system and method allow for computing an excitation frequency signal based on a sum of i) a signal indicative of a weighted average of an estimated rotor speed signal and a measured vehicle speed signal and ii) a compensated slip command signal. Effective wheel slip control is thus provided without requiring sensors for measuring rotational speed of the traction motors.

    摘要: A system and a method for remedying wheel-slippage while maintaining maximum acceleration power. The present invention monitors the speed of each of the traction motors used to drive the wheels, gears, or pulleys of a device such as the wheels of a locomotive (210) is monitored. If the speed of a particular traction motor exceeds the speed of the other traction motors by a percentage, the wheels that are driven by that particular traction motor are considered to be slipping (220). This is referred to as wheel-slippage. The wheel-slippage is remedied by briefly interrupting the supply of power to that particular traction motor (230, 240). This technique allows wheel-slippage to be corrected without reducing the motive power applied to non-slipping wheels, thereby maintaining maximum acceleration power.

    摘要: A system and method for controlling operation of a diesel electric traction vehicle of the type including a synchronous generator driven by a diesel engine for producing alternating current (AC) electric power, the AC electric power being converted to direct current (DC) electric power and transferred over a DC link to a plurality of DC to AC inverters, and each of the inverters being coupled to transfer controlled frequency power to at least one AC electric traction motor coupled in driving relationship to at least one wheel-axle set of the vehicle. A computer-based control system controls operation of the engine, generator and inverters in response to a power command signal. The control system computes power supplied by the generator from calculated torque developed by the AC traction motors and electric power losses in the inverters and other circuit elements coupling power from the generator to the motors. The computed generator supplied power is compared to the power command signal and engine operation is adjusted so as to minimize any difference between the commanded power and the computed power.

    摘要: A controlled stop system for an AC electric locomotive includes a braking effort control circuit responsive to a braking command regulating braking effort produced by AC traction motors coupled in driving relationship to wheels of the locomotive. The control circuit is responsive to a vehicle speed signal for adjusting motor operation to maintain braking effort to about zero speed. A filter processes the speed signal before application to the braking effort control circuit such that the control circuit operates as a speed regulator at zero speed to maintain the vehicle in a stopped condition.

For each driving wheel, a measured speed signal (NM1, NM2) is processed in a detection unit (23, 24) which detects skidding or locking and delivers binary skid (P1, P2) and locking (B1, B2) signals and a corrected speed signal (NC1, NC2) representing, as required, the speed prior to skidding or locking.
