Abstract:
A hinge apparatus for a folder-type portable communication device, wherein a body portion and a folder portion can be coupled or separated by applying a force to a hinge cap or moving a hinge dummy laterally. The device includes a body portion and a folder portion coupled to the body portion to pivot around a hinge axis, and a center hinge arm provided in the body portion. First and second side hinge arms are provided in the folder portion, and a hinge cap is provided in the first side hinge is pushed with an external force. A hinge shaft is coupled with or separated from the first side hinge arm by retracting or protruding via pushing the hinge cap, and a hinge dummy provided in the center hinge arm is coupled with or separated from the second side hinge arm by moving laterally along the hinge axis.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a portable electronic device having an interceptor for cutting off foreign substances such as water, dust or the like from being entered between the coupling surfaces thereof. The portable electronic device includes: a first case; a second case to be joined with the first case; and an intercepting part integrally formed with at least one of the first case or the second case, wherein the intercepting part is sealingly engaged with the coupling surface of the first case or the second case to prevent foreign substances and waterproof the device thereof.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a battery pack locking device for a portable wireless terminal which is configured to utilize a locking method in which support protrusions formed at one end of a battery pack are engaged with support grooves formed at the terminal body of the portable wireless terminal, and the battery pack is then brought into close contact with the seat surface of the terminal body, while using a button member adapted to perform a depressing operation, thereby achieving an easy separation of the battery pack from the portable wireless terminal. In accordance with the configuration, it is possible to prevent the fingernail of the user from being damaged during the attachment or detachment procedure of the battery pack. In particular, it is unnecessary to provide an additional space for allowing a horizontal movement of the locking device. Accordingly, there is an increased flexibility in the design of the terminal appearance.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal having a rear keypad is provided. The mobile terminal includes: a main body having a front surface and a rear surface opposite to the front surface; a touch screen disposed at the front surface of the main body; and a key input device having a keypad disposed at the rear surface of the main body and extendable outwards to sides of the touch screen.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a handheld radiotelephone having a battery pack attachably and detachably equipped on a rear surface of a main body, and a locking device for allowing the battery pack to be attached or detached. The locking device operates in a perpendicular direction with a length direction of the radiotelephone, and the battery pack is attached or detached while forming an arc around an end of the radiotelephone. The locking device includes an elastic locker having a predetermined elasticity, of which one end is fixed to a predetermined position of a lower casing frame of the radiotelephone and the other end is selectively locked in a locking hole. A pusher installed on the elastic locker, for pushing the elastic locker.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an antenna coupling device for a mobile terminal adapted to couple, to a terminal body of the mobile terminal, an antenna unit including an antenna housing adapted to be coupled to the terminal body, and an antenna extending through the antenna housing into the terminal body at an inner end thereof. The antenna coupling device includes an antenna coupling member rotatably fitted in the antenna housing at one end of the antenna housing facing the terminal body, and engaging elements for selectively engaging the antenna with the antenna coupling member to restrain the antenna coupling member by the antenna, thereby causing the antenna coupling member to be coupled to an antenna bushing provided at the terminal body in accordance with rotation of the antenna.
Abstract:
A waterproof structure for a portable terminal including a flexible printed circuit (FPC) extending outside of a first housing of a pair of housings from inside the first housing and arranged inside of a second housing of the pair of housings. A wiring hole is formed in each housing to provide a path allowing passage of the FPC therethrough. A waterproof member provided in the wiring hole substantially contacts at least inner walls of the housings and an outer circumferential surface of the FPC to prevent movement of the FPC. An outer circumferential surface of the waterproof member substantially contacts a circumference of an inlet of the wiring hole or an inner wall of the wiring hole. The waterproof member is provided between the housing of the portable terminal and the FPC improving a waterproof function and preventing moisture or water from being introduced into the housing of the terminal.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a keypad coupling apparatus for a portable terminal which has a laminated keypad unit arranged on an upper surface of a front case. The keypad coupling apparatus includes a front case provided with a latch; a flexible circuit disposed on the front case and including a plurality of dome switches; a keypad rubber disposed on an upper surface of the flexible circuit; and a keypad provided on an upper surface of the keypad rubber and moving in a pressed direction when the keypad is engaged with the latch and pressed, the keypad rubber making contact with at least one of the dome switches to provide tactile quality of a click.
