摘要: Provided is bead fiber with which sufficient air volume can be infused for making a high-performance bicycle tire, which has superior workability that does not require drying of the bead fibers when covering the bead fibers with rubber, and which is effective in preventing rim detachment. A high-performance bicycle tire can be obtained by using this tire bead fiber. The tire bead fiber is characterized by being formed using wholly aromatic polyester fiber with a modulus of elasticity of 800 cN/dt or greater.

摘要: A core-sheath type conjugate filament, and a woven fabric obtained therefrom, for a palatable beverage extracting filter, have improved environmental safety and formability, and maintain fabric strength. A core component of the filament is a homopolyester having a melting point of 220° C. or more. A sheath component of the filament is a copolyester containing terephthalic acid and a diol as major components and having a melting point is at least 40° C. lower than that of the core component. A mass change after boiling in an aqueous ethanol solution in a concentration of 10 mass % for 1 hour is 4% or less, and an eluted amount of heavy metals is less than 0.1 ppm.

摘要: Provided is a flow path material for a liquid separation apparatus, which is less likely to collapse upon the application of a high pressure to the flow path material and causes a lower reduction of the flow rate. The flow path material for a liquid separation apparatus includes a tricot fabric containing thermoplastic core-sheath composite fibers each made of two kinds of polyester resins having different melting points or softening points. The flow path material for a liquid separation apparatus is configured such that: in the thermoplastic core-sheath composite fibers, a high-melting-point component is placed in the core, while a low-melting-point component is placed in the sheath; the tricot fabric is a tricot knitted fabric knitted with a two-guide-reed knitting machine using the thermoplastic core-sheath composite fibers as a front yarn and a back yarn and is rigidified by the thermoplastic core-sheath composite fibers being bonded to each other; the tricot fabric has a wale density of 45 to 70 yarns/inch (2.54 cm) and a course density of 40 to 70 yarns/inch (2.54 cm); and, when the tricot fabric is heat-pressed at 90° C. and 4.0 MPa for 3 minutes, the percentage of change in the thickness of the tricot fabric before and after pressing is 10% or less.

摘要: A core-sheath conjugated fiber has excellent moisture-absorption properties, antistatic properties, and cool feeling by contact, as well as being less prone to post process trouble even when the fiber is interknitted with polyurethane or polyethylene terephthalate. The fiber includes a core portion and a sheath portion. The core portion is not exposed through the surface of the fiber, and is composed of a polyether block amide copolymer represented by Formula (1) having a hard segment composed of nylon 6. The sheath portion is composed of a nylon-6 resin, and the area ratio of the core portion to the sheath portion in a transverse section of the fiber is 3/1 to 1/5. PA represents a polyamide unit (hard segment); PE represents a polyether unit (soft segment); and n represents the number of repeating units.
