    摘要： A brake assembly comprising a brake housing adapted for attachment to a wheel of a wheel assembly for rotation with the wheel. The brake housing has oppositely disposed annular braking surfaces spaced apart to provide an annular gap therebetween. Brake shoes are located between the annular braking surfaces and are capable of movement towards or away from one another but held against circumferential movement by co-operating with a fixed support. Brake shoe operating members are disposed between the brake shoes and are movable by a brake actuator to move the brake shoes away from one another to cause each brake shoe to contact the adjacent annular braking surface of the brake housing to effect braking, the brake shoes being removable or replaceable from or into the annular gap in the radial direction thereof without dismantling the brake assembly.

    摘要： A variable speed transmission connecting an input shaft to an output shaft and including at least one rotating clutch. The clutch is operated by hydraulic pressure fluid delivered to and removed from the outer circumferential periphery of the clutch. Preferably, a plurality of these clutches are arranged on a main shaft of the transmission, and one or more of these clutches may be double clutches, that is, two separate clutches connected to a common coupling member. A secondary shaft operatively engaged with the input shaft includes gears for operating selected ones of said clutches. A turbine blade may be provided between the input shaft and the clutches and a planetary gear brake may be provided between the clutches and the output shaft.

    摘要： A full disc brake assembly including a pair of full rotatable brake discs, nonrotatably mounted on a shaft and movable axially to engage a fixed encircling housing to brake the shaft upon relative rotational movement of an actuating disc located between the brake discs. Said relative movement can be caused manually or by fluid pressure or electromagnetic means or the like acting on the outer periphery of the actuating disc. The encircling housing can be formed in several parts of different materials and can include a cooling space which may be spiral in shape on each side of the housing. A hollow brake lever filled with said cooling fluid can be used to act against the actuating disc. The brake can be placed into the vehicle axle for better heat dissipation.

    摘要： A full lined liquid cooled disc brake for a rotating shaft. The brake has a brake housing comprising two annular housing members fastened together at their outer circumference and providing a central opening. The shaft or a sleeve member connected with the shaft extend in this opening carrying at least one lamination. The brake housing may have an opening at the outer circumference for easily replacing the lamination without opening the coolant circulation. The brake has annular brake rings on opposite sides of and opposing a lamination. Each brake ring is cooled on its side opposite from its braking surface with coolant flowing therethrough. A continuously operable adjusting mechanism for taking up play may be included. The brake may include both a mechanical and a hydraulic operating mechanism for urging the thrust rings towards each other to operate the brake.
