The method for preparing forms may include mixing substantially dry cementitious material particles with closed cell foam particles to form a substantially dry composition. In some embodiment, at least some of the cementitious material particles may adhere to at least some surface deformations on the surface of the closed cell foam particles. In some embodiments, the method may include mixing a second portion of water with the substantially dry composition for a second period of time to form a partially wet composition. In some embodiments, a method may include forming a building form including at least some cementitious materials from the partially wet composition. In some embodiments, the closed cell foam particles may include expanded polystyrene. In some embodiments, a ratio of the water to cementitious material particles may range from 0.20 to 0.40.

摘要: A process for controlling the embedding depth of reinforcing mesh to a cementitious board is disclosed. The process comprises applying a pressure from a plate to a reinforcing mesh on a core mix moving downstream on a conveyor, wherein the plate vibrates at a rate that assists in embedding the reinforcing mesh at a depth within the core mix such that the reinforcing mesh is barely visible.

摘要: A method and system are described for manufacture of an artificial stone veneer having a lighter weight relative to artificial stones and artificial stone veneers presently known in the art. More specifically, a system and method is described for manufacture of an artificial stone or artificial stone veneer from a cement based compound that includes a portion of crumb rubber. An exemplary compound mixture that may be leveraged by embodiments of the invention comprises: a portion of about 376 pounds of Portland cement, a portion of about 352 pounds of crumb rubber, a portion of reinforcement fibers (cellulose based fiber), a portion of about 192 oz. of accelerator to speed cure time, and a portion of about 32 gallons of water.

摘要: Embodiments of present inventions are directed to an advanced catalyst. The advanced catalyst includes a honeycomb structure with an at least one nano-particle on the honeycomb structure. The advanced catalyst used in diesel engines is a two-way catalyst. The advanced catalyst used in gas engines is a three-way catalyst. In both the two-way catalyst and the three-way catalyst, the at least one nano-particle includes nano-active material and nano-support. The nano-support is typically alumina. In the two-way catalyst, the nano-active material is platinum. In the three-way catalyst, the nano-active material is platinum, palladium, rhodium, or an alloy. The alloy is of platinum, palladium, and rhodium.

摘要: A method of removing silicon-dioxide from silicon powder. The method comprises: providing a silicon powder defined by each particle having a silicon core and a silicon dioxide layer surrounding the silicon core; dispersing the particles in a dispersing solution; adding an etching solution, wherein the etching solution removes the silicon dioxide layer; adding an organic solvent, thereby producing an organic phase and an aqueous phase, the organic phase comprising the silicon cores and the organic solvent, and the aqueous phase comprising the dispersing solution, the etching solution, and the etching by-products; coating each silicon core with an organic material; draining out the aqueous phase; washing the organic phase, wherein the remaining material from the aqueous phase is removed; and providing the silicon powder as a plurality of silicon cores each absent a silicon dioxide layer and having an organic coating.
