摘要: A lid-fastening structure for fastening a lid using a bolt, which is rotatably held in the lid for closing an adjustment opening. An insertion hole for inserting the bolt is formed in the lid. A portion of the circumferential edge of the insertion hole is cut out in a way that allows the bolt to slide, and a backslide-limiting opening for limiting the return of the bolt to the insertion hole is formed so as to be continuous with the circumferential edge. A supporting/fastening hole is formed continuous with the backslide-limiting opening to a smaller radius than is the insertion hole, the supporting/fastening hole being cut out so as to allow the bolt to advance.

摘要: An apparatus generates display data on a display unit. An image constructing unit constructs an image of an image list including a plurality of images each corresponding to an image data file. A data output unit outputs first display data of the image list, and then, when a switching command is received from a user, outputs second display data of the image list in response to the switching command. A confirmation calculating unit calculates a degree of confirmation indicating whether a user confirmation is performed for each of the images in the image list. An image modifying unit modifies the images in the image list based on the degree of confirmation.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to determine novel means of activating plants; more particularly, means of controlling plant growth, such as means of promoting growth, means of controlling dormancy, means of imparting tolerance against stress for plants (dryness, high or low temperatures, osmotic pressure, etc.), and means of preventing aging. The present inventors have found that the above object can be achieved by providing plant activators containing, as an active ingredient, C4-C24 ketol fatty acids, in particular, 9-hydroxy-10-oxo-12(Z),15(Z)-octadecadienoic acid.

摘要: An image processing apparatus capable of automatically adjusting the enlargement ratio and the position of images and to display the noticed areas of all selected images is disclosed. When a two image display mode is selected, an image previously displayed (a first image) and an image to be displayed in the two image display mode (a second image) are loaded from a memory into a display controlling unit and a correction value calculating unit. The display controlling unit performs enlarging and moving operations with respect to the first image and the second image simultaneously. The correction value calculating unit searches for an area in the second image (a corrected area) most resembling an enlarged area in the first image so as to enlarge the corrected area in the second image. The images processed by the display controlling unit are transmitted to an image display memory.

摘要: High surface pressure is applied to the sliding surfaces such that local solid contact occurs on sliding interfaces. Microscopic wear occurs on the sliding surfaces. Carbon-based molecules 12, having rollable hollow structures, are included as separate molecules or aggregates of molecules in the lubricating film 11. The molecules 12 are exposed from the lubricating film 11 by the microscopic wear. A portion of the carbon-based molecules 12 is separated from the lubricating film 11, and supplied to the sliding surfaces. The carbon-based molecules 12 having rollable hollow structures function as ball bearings on the molecular level on the sliding interfaces. When at least one separated carbon-based molecule 12 exist between the sliding interfaces, local friction can be reduced in comparison to when separated carbon-based molecule 12 does not exist.

摘要: A digital still camera includes a lens system and an image sensor. The image sensor receives object light through the lens system to output an image signal of an object, wherein exposure control and autofocus control of the lens system are carried out according to the image signal. The image sensor photographs an image of the object after the exposure control and the autofocus control. Auxiliary light is applied to the object with an illumination light source for the autofocus control. A second exposure value is determined by use of a first exposure value determined according to object brightness measured while the illumination light source is inactive. Exposure is carried out to measure object brightness by use of the second exposure value while the auxiliary light is applied, for determining a third exposure value for use in the autofocus control with the auxiliary light.
