    摘要: A cobalt-containing ferromagnetic iron oxide powder of which constituent particles each is an aggregate of cobalt-containing ferromagnetic iron oxide micorparticles and has a spherical shape of 5 to 200 .mu.m in diameter has an angle of repose of 35.degree. or smaller and accordingly excellent flowability, as well as to a process for producing the iron oxide powder, are provided. This ferromagnetic iron oxide powder consisting of spherically shaped particles, are easily dispersed in an organic binder to return to the original state of microparticles, and provide improved magnetic characteristics when used as a material for magnetic recording media such as a magnetic tape and the like.
