Abstract:
According to the invention, techniques for recording data onto recording media at relatively high transfer rates for relatively long periods of time. Embodiments according to the present invention include systems and apparatus capable of an improved sustained rate of data recording onto disk type-recording media, for example. Many embodiments can remove the upper limits of both recording capacity and the number of media that can be used. Select embodiments can be used with different kinds of recording media as well. In a specific embodiment, the area on a hard disk is divided into three areas. A first area can be suitable for sequential recording of continuous data. A second area can be suitable for random recording of discontinuous data. A third area can be used for recording logical sector numbers, coupling logical sector numbers, and file information that are used for marking each of the first and second areas, so that continuous data can be recorded on the hard disk at a high data rate.
Abstract:
A joint (and method) connects synthetic resin corrugated pipes, each of the corrugated pipes including a pipe wall having sectionally rectangular wall portions and sectionally circular wall portions disposed alternately in a longitudinal direction of the corrugated pipe. The sectionally circular wall portions each include an annular-shaped protrusion projecting outwardly from the sectionally circular wall portions disposed substantially at a center of the sectionally circular wall portion between adjacent sectionally rectangular wall portions in the longitudinal direction. The joint includes a pair of semicircular-shaped joint main bodies coupled with each other by bolts, each having a recessed groove defined by both of its side edge portions in a width direction thereof and also having tightening bolt holes respectively formed at both peripheral end portions in a peripheral direction thereof, and a pair of watertight packings respectively formed of elastic material and respectively received in the recessed grooves of the semicircular-shaped joint main bodies, each of the watertight packings having a semicircular portion which includes two edge portions disposed at two end portions in a width direction thereof, and a projecting portion disposed between the two edge portions in the width direction and inwardly projected in a radial direction of the pipe.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: a storage container which horizontally stores a waste toner; a full detection sensor which detects whether the waste toner reaches a full position; a near detection sensor which detects whether the waste toner reaches a near position; and a conveyance portion which is provided inside the storage container, includes an axial rod, and rotates about the axial rod, wherein the conveyance portion includes: a first spiral protrusion which conveys the waste toner to the near position; a second spiral protrusion which conveys the waste toner from the near position to the full position; and a third range which is provided between the first spiral protrusion and the second spiral protrusion and through which the waste toner passes at a speed lower than the conveyance speed of the first spiral protrusion and the second spiral protrusion.
Abstract:
A development apparatus according to the present invention includes: a stir member that stirs a developer in a development container; a stir gear that rotates the stir member; a stir rotation shaft that connects the stir member and the stir gear to each other; a development member that supplies the developer onto a surface of an image carrier; a development gear that collaborates with the stir gear to form a series of gears and rotates the development member; a development rotation shaft that connects the development member and the development gear to each other; a housing box that houses the stir gear and the development gear, supports the stir rotation shaft and the development rotation shaft, and is provided with an air take-in opening for taking in air and an air discharge opening for discharging the taken-in air; and a wind sending member that takes in the air from the air take-in opening into the housing box and makes the taken-in air pass through the housing box to discharge the air from the air discharge opening.
