    摘要: In an optical disc drive apparatus, when a start time of a tracking pull-in operation is adjusted according to the eccentricity amount of the optical disc, a suitable starting point of the tracking pull-in operation can be always captured and the pull-in operation of the tracking control can be stably performed, without depending on the eccentricity amount of the optical disc. Further, the eccentricity amount and an eccentricity phase are detected from a track zero crossing signal before the tracking pull-in, and an eccentricity compensation signal of the track is added to the tracking control signal. As a result, also in the optical disc with the large eccentricity amount, the tracking pull-in operation can be stably performed.

    摘要: A light source includes a plurality of light emitting elements, and each light emitting element is disposed in such a manner that a direction of an optical axis of the light emitting element having a highest luminance is disposed at a predetermined inclination angle relative to a plane of the liquid crystal display. The optical guide member has an optical guide portion of a wedge shape having a first flat plane generally perpendicular to the optical axis of each light emitting element for receiving light from each light emitting element and a second flat plane having a predetermined angle relative to the optical axis and intersecting the first flat plane at an acute angle for reflecting light. A plurality of optical guide portions are disposed in a plane and formed integrally along a predetermined direction corresponding to the inclination direction of the light emitting elements.

    摘要: In a conventional method for preventing a collision between a lens and an optical disc which uses a control system similar to the servo control of the optical disc, it is feared that, when there is no need to apply the servo, the collision prevention method may not perform its function satisfactorily. In an optical disc device that operates with a part of its functions suspended for reduced power consumption, the conventional method is not enough to avoid the collision between the lens and the optical disc. By arranging the lens/disc collision prevention mechanism independently operable, it is possible to prevent the collision between the lens and the disc even during the operation with limited functions.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to enable the detection of the presence/absence of an object over a plurality of detection areas without using a plurality of light-receiving devices and light-emitting devices. A sensor detects the presence/absence of an object in a detection area where a light-emitting area of a light-emitting device and a light-receiving area of a light-receiving device are overlapped with each other, and includes: a power supply unit that outputs a driving current I of the light-emitting device such that its current value is variable; a control unit that has the function of controlling the power supply unit to change in magnitude of the driving current I of the light-emitting device, and determining the presence/absence of an object based on an output from the light-receiving device to output the result of determination as a detection signal; and an output signal 50 that converts the detection signal into an analog signal to output the converted signal as a signal α.

    摘要: A magnetic tape drive in a helical scan system can shorten retry operation time. A data signal reproduced from magnetic tape through reproducing heads is supplied to a regenerative signal processing circuit. If an uncorrectable error is contained in the signal, the regenerative signal processing circuit outputs error information to a system controller. Then, the system controller sends a retry instruction to a movable head controller. When receiving the retry instruction, the movable head controller supplies movable head control signals to displacement elements which then displace the reproducing heads along a rotating shaft of a rotary drum for re-scanning an error occurrence data track. This retry operation is repeated until no error is detected. The magnetic tape is run at lower speed or is stopped as required during the repetitive retry operation.

    摘要: A recording/playback apparatus wherein rotary heads play back positional information recorded on a magnetic tape which can travel rapidly in a search operation. Piezoelectric actuators extend the rotary heads, an actuator driver drives the piezoelectric actuators, and a microprocessor controls the actuator driver. A target position on the magnetic tape is designated through a control panel by a user of the apparatus. The processor controls the actuator driver so as to hold the heads out of contact with the tape in a pause or stop mode of the apparatus, and so as to bring the heads into temporary contact with the tape at least once before the tape is caused to travel to the target position, whereupon the processor detects the positional information on the tape. When the target position has been approached, the processor controls the actuator driver so as to hold the heads in contact with the tape, and it detects the positional information. Thus, while providing a rapid search, the apparatus can prevent the heads and the tape from wearing away and can detect the target position precisely.
