摘要: A system and a method of monitoring a functional status of a vehicle's electrical powering system (VEPS) makes measurements on the vehicle's electrical powering system, diagnoses problems for the VEPS, and sends a warning notification to the vehicle's owner. A retrofit device is electrically coupled to the VEPS, or a computerized battery is included in the VEPS. The retrofit device or the computerized battery periodically makes voltage readings. The retrofit device or the computerized battery stores and analyzes those voltage readings so that the retrofit device or the computerized battery predicts any malfunctions or failure that may occur for the VEPS. If the retrofit device or the computerized battery does predict a malfunction or failure in the VEPS, then the retrofit device or the computerized battery would output a warning notification either through the retrofit device or the computerized battery themselves or another external computing device.

摘要: A method of preventing accidental shooting requires a safety beacon and a firearm that has a computing device and a wireless receiver. The method begins by continuously transmitting a warning signal with the safety beacon and by continuously monitoring for the warning signal with the wireless receiver. The method then processes the warning signal into an endangerment assessment with the computing unit, if the warning signal is captured by the wireless receiver. The endangerment assessment is used to determine whether or not it is safe to shoot the firearm based on the location of the safety beacon. Finally, the method executing a physical response with the firearm, if the endangerment assessment identifies a potentially unsafe situation between the safety beacon and the firearm. The physical response can be a tactile, auditory, or visual notification to the user of the potentially unsafe situation.

摘要: A motor vehicle monitoring method for determining driver negligence is carried out by a company in order to determine a final assessment for the vehicle. The method for determining driver negligence enables the company to calculate an average revolutions per initial odometer value and an average revolutions per secondary odometer value, where the average revolutions per secondary odometer value is a direct indication about operating state of the vehicle or an action of an end user during a designated time period. Then the company is able to adjust the contact agreement for the designated time period upon the final assessment, wherein the responsible party that violates the contact agreement is only liable for the respective damages. The method for determining driver negligence also validates the odometer and speedometer values from illegal tampering.

摘要: A method to obtain average revolutions per independent unit includes a total number of engine revolutions with an on-board computing device and a current distance value with the on-board computing device and a retrofitted global positioning system unit so that a final value can be calculated by dividing the total number of engine revolutions with the current distance value for a designated time period. The current distance value can be a distance unit or time unit as the final value, which is the average revolutions per independent unit, is displayed with a control panel of a vehicle. The final value provides an accurate conclusion regarding the current condition of an engine in addition to the accuracy mileage of the engine or the engine hours.

摘要: A method of predicting failure for vehicular components is implemented within a vehicle through a plurality of part sensors and an on-board computing (OBC) device as the part sensors are communicably coupled with a remote server through the OBC device. The OBC device continuously timestamps and uploads a plurality of performance time-dependent data (PTDD) points to the remote server throughout a current vehicular trip. The remote server then analyzes the uploaded PTDD points with an updatable total time duration and an active performance-define range that are calculated from prior vehicular trips. The remote server is then able to identify a potential vehicular problem during the current trip, based upon the uploaded PTDD points. When a potential vehicular problem is detected within the current trip, an annotating assessment is generated and wirelessly sent to a personal computing device of the owner/operator of the vehicle.

摘要: A method of monitoring and trigger-locking a firearm prevents unauthorized persons from firing the firearm. When a person picks up the firearm, a biometric scanner retrieves an unidentified biometric reading off of the person. The biometric scanner can be a palm-print reader and/or a fingerprint reader. If the unidentified biometric reading does not match an authorized user signature stored on a chipset of the firearm, and if the firearm has unlocked its trigger, then the firearm automatically locks its trigger. In addition, the firearm generates and broadcasts an unauthorized-use notification with a wireless communication module. If the unidentified biometric reading does match an authorized user signature stored on the chipset, and if the firearm has locked its trigger, then firearm automatically unlocks its trigger. The firearm also collects situational data from environmental sensors when the firearm discharges a round.
