Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to the membrane transporter NaPi2b (SLC34A2) as a target for therapy, including immunotherapy, and particularly cancer therapy. The SLC34A2 epitope peptide encompassing amino acids 312-340 of SLC34A2 has been identified as an ovarian cancer epitope using the monoclonal antibody MX35. The invention also relates to the use of SLC34A2 and particularly SLC34A2 peptides in generating antibodies which have anti-tumor or anti-cancer activity or in stimulating an immunological response. The invention further relates to antibodies specifically directed against NaPi2b (SLC34A2) and the SLC34A2 peptide(s), including veneered, chimeric, single chain and humanized antibodies. Methods for generating an immune response and for treatment of tumors and cancer are also provided. Assays for screening and identifying compounds directed against SLC34A2, including the SLC34A2 epitope peptide, and additional antibodies are provided.

Abstract:
Scale model fish and wildlife replicas are mounted on rectangular shaped bases and can be displayed individually, attached to one another by using a dog-bone clip or pin, or slid into a vertical, or wall mounted base unit capable of holding 5, 10, or more replicas. The top and bottom edges of the replica mounting base and the inside edges of the slots on the wall mount base, are angled to allow the user to slid the mounted replica into the base unit easily, resulting in a secure mount. The replica mounting bases and the wall-mounted bases will be made of wood, and/or various plastics or resins using current processes. The back side of the replica mounting bases have slots to attach the dog-bone clips, and a slot to hang on a nail, or other device.
Abstract:
An improved dimensional detection system is portable and can be used to characterize a workpiece. The dimensional detection system employs as few as a single focused light source and as few as a single camera along with a calibration data set to convert the illuminated pixels of an image of a beam on the workpiece into a cloud of real world points in space on an outer surface of the workpiece. The cloud of points can be processed to characterize the workpiece, such as by determining the right hexahedron that would encompass all of the real world points in space and which could be used to determine a dimensional weight of the workpiece.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a hydrocracking process for hydrocracking petroleum and chemical feedstocks using bulk Group VIII/VIB catalysts. Preferred catalysts include those comprised of Ni—Mo—W.
Abstract:
Systems and methods that facilitate deployment of server applications via employing a deployment system that declaratively defines deployment actions. Such system is extensible to enable user customization, and includes a deployment document that declaratively defines deployment terms. The deployment document can further describe what the tasks accomplish, and also what tasks are to be forwarded to the task handler at execution time.
Abstract:
Compounds represented by the following structure (II) are disclosed: as are methods for making such compounds. Compositions and methods for treating various disease conditions including cancer and non-cancer diseases associated with vascular proliferation are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An improved process for preparing alcohols by the Oxo process. More particularly this invention relates to an improvement in the hydrogenation step of the Oxo process characterized in the use of certain bulk multimetallic hydrogenation catalysts comprised of at least one Group VIII non-noble metal and at least two Group VIB metals.
Abstract:
The use of a controlled amount of water in a hydrogenation stage of the oxo process for the production of alcohols which uses at least two reactors in series improves the efficiency of the hydrogenation reaction and catalyst life as does a reduction in the amount of sulphur, chlorine and hydroformylation catalyst residues in the feed to hydrogenation.
