    摘要: A shock-resistant device includes snubbers that may be selectively extended to selectively create a stiff attachment between a vibration-isolated component of the device, and another part of the device. The snubbers may be electromechanical or hydraulically driven. The device may be a sensor system for an unmanned aerial vehicle, with the snubbers extendible to create a stiff attachment between an inner gimbal and an outer shell of the sensor system, for example prior to landing the unmanned aerial vehicle on an aircraft carrier, or prior to transportation or storage of the unmanned aerial vehicle. The snubbers may be able to be manually actuated, even when the unmanned aerial vehicle has no power available.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a sensor assembly for measuring an angular position of a rotatable structure includes an annular ring that is eccentrically rotatable about an axis, a first and second sensors, and an sensor transducing circuit for combining the respective output levels from the two sensors. The first and second sensors are rotatable relative to the annular ring and disposed a predetermined distance from the axis such that the first and second sensors have a first and second output level respectively that is proportional to the angular position of the annular ring. The sensor transducing circuit is operable to proportionally combine the first and second output levels into an output signal based upon a weighting factor, the weighting factor being proportional to angular position of at least one of the first and second sensors.

    摘要: A cooler for an image intensifier system which comprises an image intensifier tube having a face plate. The cold side of a thermoelectric cooler has a hot side and a cold side and is secured to a highly thermally conductive cold plate and the face plate. A highly thermally conductive hot plate contacts the hot side of the thermoelectric cooler. A finned heat sink can be coupled to the thermally conductive hot plate. The thermoelectric cooler is preferably in a state of compression between the cold plate and the hot plate. The system further can include an hermetically sealed region containing the face plate and the cold plate. A desiccant can be disposed within the hermetically sealed region.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a sensor assembly for measuring an angular position of a rotatable structure includes an annular ring that is eccentrically rotatable about an axis, a first and second sensors, and an sensor transducing circuit for combining the respective output levels from the two sensors.
