    摘要: An ethylene polymer, which is an ethylene homopolymer or a copolymer of ethylene and an .alpha.-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, having the following properties:(1) the melt index (MI) at a temperature of 190.degree. C. under a load of 21.6 kg is in the range of 0.1 to 100 g/10 min;(2) the density is in the range of 0.935 to 0.975 g/cm.sup.3 ; and(3) the characteristic value of biaxial extensional flow, .lambda.MAX (.lambda.MAX herein is an index of the extension ratio at which the nominal stress is maximum, provided that the extension ratio is in the range of 1 to 3, experimentally obtainable by a biaxial extensional flow test carried out at 190.degree. C. at a constant strain rate d.epsilon./dt of 0.05 s.sup.-1), is at least 1.6.

    摘要: A polycarbonate/polyethylene terephthalate composite resin composition is provided, which contains a resin component of 100 parts by weight and contains a phosphorus thermal stabilizer of 0.01 to 0.5 parts by weight and/or a hindered phenol thermal stabilizer of 0.01 to 1 parts by weight, the resin component containing a polycarbonate resin of 95 to 30 weight % and a polyethylene terephthalate resin of 5 to 70 weight %. The polyethylene terephthalate resin contains a deactivated polycondensation catalyst. The polycarbonate/polyethylene terephthalate composite resin composition can be prevented from being deteriorated resulting from being thermally preserved.

    摘要: An ethylene homopolymer or copolymer comprising ethylene and not more than 10% by weight of an .alpha.-olefin having from 3 to 20 carbon atoms and a fuel tank obtained therefrom are disclosed, said ethylene homopolymer or copolymer having (1) an intrinsic viscosity [.eta.] of from 2 to 6 dl/g, (2) a density of from 0.945 to 0.970 g/cm.sup.3, (3) an R value of from 2.5 to 4, said R value being defined as a .sigma..sub.2 /.rho..sub.1 ratio, wherein .sigma..sub.1 and .sigma..sub.2 mean stress in elongation with a strain at 2 sec and 4 sec, respectively, under a flow at an elongational strain rate .epsilon. of 0.5 sec.sup.-1, and (4) a relationship between high-velocity impact strength (HRI-IZOD) measured at -30.degree. C. and a melt index under a load of 21.6 kg (HLMI) satisfying formula:HRI-IZOD.gtoreq.-log HLMI+1.15The ethylene polymer exhibits high melt tension and excellent molding properties such as uniform stretchability in blow molding to provide molded articles, such as a fuel tank, having excellent mechanical characteristics, such as high stiffness and high impact resistance, and excellent fire resistance.
