Abstract:
A method of wireless communication includes receiving a signal associated with a frequency for adjusting timing and adjusting the timing based on the frequency. The frequency is less than once every 8 subframes.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives a service through an MBMS session. The apparatus receives a first notification of an upcoming suspension of the MBMS session. The apparatus requests establishment of a unicast bearer prior to the upcoming suspension of the MBMS session upon receiving the first notification. The apparatus receives a corresponding unicast version of the service of the MBMS session via unicast when the unicast bearer is established. In an aspect, the first notification may be received during a first MCCH modification period, the corresponding unicast version of the service is received via unicast during a second MCCH modification period. In an aspect, the apparatus may further receive a second notification that the MBMS session is suspended during the second MCCH modification period.
Abstract:
A mobile payment system including a web browsing capable device is in communication with a world wide web to make purchases online at a web page of an online merchant. A QR code is associated with a purchase from the online merchant and displayed on the web browsing capable device. A mobile payment device including securely stored payment information and having a camera is connectable to the online merchant to provide payment for the online purchase using information retrieved from the QR code displayed by the web browsing capable device and obtained by the camera. The online store is connectable to a payment network to exchange payment messages upon receiving payment information from the mobile device.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus monitors a page during a current paging cycle on a first frequency. In addition, the apparatus switches to a second frequency after the current paging cycle to receive multicast/broadcast information on the second frequency. Furthermore, the apparatus attempts to receive the multicast/broadcast information on the second frequency before a predetermined time.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure propose techniques for improving redirection in a TD-SCDMA circuit-switched fallback from TDD-LTE systems. Certain aspects provide a method that generally includes initiating a call setup (CS) procedure for leaving a base station (BS) of a first radio access technology (RAT) for a call on a second RAT, receiving, in response to the CS procedure, a message from the BS of the first RAT comprising a system frame number (SFN) for the BS of the first RAT and an offset number for a BS of the second RAT for setting up the call, and generating an estimated SFN for the BS of the second RAT based on the SFN for the BS of the first RAT and the offset number.
Abstract:
An open service provisioning method may be implemented by a terminal. The method may include receiving a customer's selection of a first-time network access provider and network service provider (NAP/NSP). The method may also include establishing a connection with the first-time NAP/NSP. The method may also include receiving information about possible other NAPs/NSPs while connected to the first-time NAP/NSP. The method may also include receiving the customer's selection of a home NAP/NSP. The method may also include assisting the customer to sign up for service with the home NAP/NSP. The method may further include establishing a connection with the home NAP/NSP.
Abstract:
Transfer of Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Services (MBMS) over a Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) service and idle mode unicast service for a mobile entity from a source base station to a target base station may be managed by a base station or mobile entity of a cellular wireless communications system (WCS). Operations related to the transfer may include obtaining an MBMS status of the mobile entity, and/or obtaining MBMS support information for the base station. A network entity may facilitate MBMS discovery by a mobile entity, by transmitting a data element to the mobile entity including service identifiers mapped to corresponding cell identifiers to indicate respective MBMS services to be broadcast in an WCS area on adjacent cells identified by respective ones of the cell identifiers. The MBMS services may be broadcast within the WCS area using the adjacent cells previously indicated in the data element.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method enable mobile user equipment to return to a first cell after attempting a baton handover to a second cell. In one aspect of the disclosure, a method of wireless communication in a cellular network including a source cell and a target cell is disclosed. Here, the method includes switching transmission of an uplink from the source cell to the target cell while maintaining a downlink with the source cell, determining to return the transmission of the uplink to the source cell, and returning the transmission of the uplink from the target cell to the source cell. In some aspects, the method may further include switching reception of a downlink from the source cell to the target cell, determining to return the reception of the downlink to the source cell, and returning the reception of the downlink from the target cell to the source cell.
Abstract:
A method for wireless communication comprises switching an uplink (UL) from a source cell to a target cell; and receiving an uplink transmit power control (TPC-UL) command from the source cell, wherein the TPC-UL command is generated by the target cell.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a method for improving location area and routing area update procedures in a multiple-USIM mobile terminal. A technique is provided for allowing the mobile terminal to reduce update procedures by using a message for multiple USIMs. The discussed technique reduces the number of messages exchanged and CPU processing.
