Abstract:
An electrical machine is described including two moving elements, of which a first moving element is a stator of the electrical machine and the other moving element is a rotor of the electrical machine. Attached to one of the moving elements is a magnetic element which interacts with a magnetic flux in the electrical machine during operation. Further, a sensor is provided for measuring a vibrational quantity of the electrical machine and a control unit is configured for detecting a displacement of the magnetic element on the basis of the measured vibrational quantity. The electrical machine may be a generator or a motor.

A new and distinct Schlumbergera plant named ‘THOR-KIRI’ particularly characterized by large upright to vertical flowers; freely flowering white, light-purple and red-purple colored flowers; large quantity of flowers per plant; and slow growth rate and freely branching growth habit.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for manufacturing a rotor are provided. The rotor is particular a rotor yoke for a wind turbine generator. A hollow rolled metal cylinder is provided and plastically deformed permanently to a predetermined shape and a predetermined size. The apparatus includes a pressing unit and a mould element.
Abstract:
A method for arranging magnets of a rotor or stator of an electrical machine is provided. In this method a number of performance parameters of the electrical machine are identified. A plurality of neighboring magnets are assigned to a magnet group. The magnet group includes a reference magnet and at least one further magnet. Further, a number of distinct magnet arrangement variables for the magnet group are identified, such that the number of arrangement variables is equal to the number of performance parameters. A value of an arrangement variable is calculated according to a desired adjustment of a performance parameter. Based on the calculated arrangement variable, an arrangement is determined for one of the at least one further magnet of the magnet group relative to the reference magnet of that magnet group.

Abstract:
A wind turbine yaw system is provided that includes a yaw gear, at least two pinion gears, and at least two drive units, each of which is associated to one of the pinion gears for driving that pinion gear. The yaw system also includes a control system with a controller for generating a drive unit control signal for each drive unit for controlling the respective drive unit according to a reference signal having a desired operational parameter value for the respective drive unit, so as to realize the desired operational parameter value in the respective drive unit. The control system includes a feedback loop for each drive unit feeding a drive unit feedback signal including at least the actual value of one operational parameter of the respective drive unit back to the controller. The controller generates the drive unit control signals based on the reference signal and the feedback signals.
Abstract:
A computer added design system enables layout of a dependent component based on master components having a set of geometric and functional properties. Based on the state of the dependent component imposed by the assembly, as well as user-entered parameters, modification to the set of properties can be calculated. Based on the calculated modification, the master component and dependent component are updated.
Abstract:
A computer-aided design (CAD) system provides for designing, modeling and simulating objects in 3D. Both 2D and 3D objects can be provided in a 3D space and associated to one another by one or more constraints. Modification to the objects is calculated to satisfy the constraints as well as the geometric and functional properties of the objects. The objects can then be updated according to the calculated modification, thereby satisfying various requirements of the design.
Abstract:
A method of monitoring quality of a control circuit in a power plant is provided. The quality of the control circuit is continuously assessed by determining characteristic quantities describing the quality by applying a plurality of testing methods suitable for describing dynamic properties of the control circuit to current operating data originating from the instrumentation and control equipment of the power plant, and by evaluating the characteristic quantities.
Abstract:
A method for assembling part of a generator is disclosed. A magnet assembly with at least one magnet and a mounting plate is fastened to a base element by welding the mounting plate to the base element.
