Abstract:
A fixed die and a punch, which moves toward and away from the die, are provided. A series of bulges is formed in sheet metal between depressions and projections of the die and projections and depressions of the punch. In forming, the punch moves toward the die such that the sheet metal is pressed between first convex sections and second and third convex sections of the die and the punch, and subsequently the sheet metal is pressed between fourth convex sections.
Abstract:
A plurality of protruding portions is formed in a metal plate material through a plurality of steps by use of forming tools each of which includes a die and a punch. An arrangement pitch between a concave portion and a convex portion for use in forming the protruding portions in the die and the punch that are used in a post-process is made narrower than an arrangement pitch between a concave portion and a convex portion for use in forming the protruding portions in the die and the punch that are used in a pre-process.
Abstract:
A method for texturizing a workpiece uses a die assembly installed within a press having a press ram. The method includes (a) delivering the workpiece onto a center die plate; (b) forcing the press ram against an upper die plate mounted above the center die plate to descend a first contact surface associated with the upper die plate and a plurality of blades mounted to the upper die plate toward the center die plate; (c) actuating horizontal movement of the blades; (d) driving the blades down into the workpiece; and (e) contacting the first contact surface to a second contact surface associated with the center die plate to descend the center die plate in unison with the upper die plate.
Abstract:
A skid for supporting a reciprocating pump assembly, the reciprocating pump assembly including a power end frame assembly having a pair of end plates and a plurality of middle plates disposed between the end plates. The end plates each have at least a pair of feet and the middle plates each having at least one foot. The skid includes a base and a plurality of pads extending from the base. At least a portion of the plurality of pads correspond to the end plate feet and at least another portion of the plurality of pads correspond to the at least one foot of each middle plate.

Abstract:
A sealing plate for a prismatic secondary battery includes a pair of mouths for attaching a negative and positive electrode terminals, one mouth being formed near one end in a longitudinal direction of the sealing plate, and the other mouth being formed near the other end, coining areas used for positioning of an insulating member and formed around the pair of mouths on a front face of the sealing plate, a gas release valve and an electrolyte pour hole formed between the pair of mouths, and grooves formed between the respective coining areas and the long side edge of the sealing plate. The groove has a smaller depth near the gas release valve than the depth near the coining area. Even when the sealing plate is produced through forging, the front face has good flatness and the coining areas are unlikely to have a sink mark or a shear drop.
Abstract:
A power end frame assembly for a reciprocating pump that includes a first and second end plate segment each including annular bearing support surfaces configured to support a crankshaft bearing assembly. At least one middle plate segment is disposed between the first and second end plate segments and includes an annular bearing support surface configured to support a crankshaft bearing assembly. The annular bearing support surfaces of the first and second end plate segments and the at least one middle plate segment each have a diameter and are coaxially aligned. The diameter of at least one of the first and second end plate segments is different from the diameter of the at least one middle plate segment to facilitate insertion and removal of the crankshaft bearing assembly from the power end frame assembly.
Abstract:
A forming die includes: a lower forming die having a bottom part and a side wall part; an upper forming die that is movable toward the bottom part of the lower forming die along an axis parallel to the side wall part of the lower forming die; and a push-in die that is movable toward the bottom part of the lower forming die along the axis between the side wall part of the lower forming die and the upper forming die.
Abstract:
A pipe-shaped member of the present invention is a pipe-shaped member (1) which includes a flat plate portion (1h1, 1h2) placed in at least one end portion (1a1) of two end portions of the pipe, formed in a flat plate shape, and including groove-shaped recessed portions (ta1, tb1, tb2) formed in one and another extended surfaces in the flat plate shape. The recessed portions (ta1, tb1, tb2) are formed such that the flat plate portion (1h1, 1h2) has at least a substantially W-shape, in a direction crossing a longitudinal direction of the flat plate portion (1h1, 1h2), and with a depth not reaching a boundary (1ha) between one plate (1h1) and the other plate (1h2) of the flat plate portion (1h1, 1h2).
Abstract:
A surface roughening apparatus includes a first mold and a second mold. The first mold has a plurality of first protrusions. The first mold presses a metallic material to form recesses corresponding to respective shapes of the first protrusions in a surface of the metallic material. The second mold has a plurality of second protrusions. After the first mold presses the metallic material, the second mold presses the metallic material, thereby deforming each recess into an undercut shape. A height of each first protrusion is greater than a height of each second protrusion. A tip angle of each first protrusion is smaller than a tip angle of each second protrusion.
