摘要： A collet chuck has a sleeve which is resiliently flexible radially and provided with two axially spaced work-gripping surfaces and two axially spaced conical surfaces on its outer and inner peripheries, respectively. In response to axial movement of an actuator on the chuck body, the collet sleeve is first shifted axially to engage one of said conical surfaces with a similar surface on the chuck body to displace one of the gripping surfaces radially into engagement with one section of a workpiece. Continued movement of the actuator causes a conical surface thereon to engage the other conical surface on the collet sleeve to displace the other work-gripping surface radially into engagement with another section of the workpiece displaced axially from the first section.

摘要： A chuck having a plurality of jaw rods arranged within bores inclined relative to the axis of the chuck. The jaw rods may be moved axially in opposite directions to decrease and increase the diameter of the circle defined by the chuck jaws to thereby engage and disengage the peripheral surface of a workpiece. The rear portions of the rods are interengaged with a jaw actuator by means of a plug which is insertable and removable through a central bore in the front of the chuck. Removal of the plug from the chuck enables the jaw rods to be removed from the front of the chuck.
