    摘要: In an diaphragm chuck (1) with clamping jaws (3) inserted in its chuck body (2) that are in a driven connection with a diaphragm (4) that can be deformed by an axially adjustable actuator (5) and is provided with clamping jaws (3) with contact pieces (22), in which counterweights (8) assigned to the clamping jaws (3) are inserted into recesses (7) of the chuck body (2) and the clamping jaws (3) can be clamped against the diaphragm (4) by means of quick-clamping devices (31) engaging in the contact pieces (22), the clamping jaws (3) being supported directly against a first reference surface (23) running axially in parallel to the chuck body (2) in the clamping position and against a second reference surface (24) running at right angles to the first reference surface (23) and worked onto the diaphragm (4), the contact pieces (22) are each provided with an intermediate element (101), for example in the form of a ball joint (102), in the area between the clamping jaws (3) and the quick-clamping devices (31) by means of which the flexural moments and/or rotational torques created by the quick-clamping device (31) can be eliminated and it is possible to transmit exclusively axially vectored tensile forces onto the clamping jaws (3). Furthermore, the clamping jaws (3), the jaw carriers (6) and the counterweights (8) form a unit which is chucked in itself, which possesses a high degree of rigidity and also no impurities can achieve ingress between these components.

    摘要: A workpiece chucking device is strengthened in its workpiece chucking force. The workpiece chucking device comprises a diaphragm 14 having chucking claws 35 in the front of a base 12 which will rotate along with a spindle 11 of a machine tool, a piston which will be moved back and forth by switching fluid fed into a hollow chamber 15 of the base, a cylindrical member 21 inserted in a center of the piston and held to the base, first balls 24 fitted into even-numbered ones of a plurality of transmitting holes formed in the cylindrical member, as well as second balls fitted into odd-numbered ones of the transmitting holes, and a recessed fitting portion 29 provided in an outer circumferential surface of a slider 26 which is inserted into the cylindrical member and connected to the diaphragm so that parts of circumferential surfaces of the first and second balls will be fitted into the recessed fitting portion 29. The slider will retreat only when the first balls are pushed into the recessed fitting portion by a first tapered portion of the piston, while the slider will be advanced when only the second balls are pushed into the recessed fitting portion by a second tapered portion of the piston.

    摘要: A quick-change chuck includes a power-assist clamp feature for use in a machine tool having a powered draw bar. The chuck body includes inner and outer faces with a bore formed therethrough. A tapered polygon alignment pin extends inwardly from the inner face to center the chuck on a longitudinal axis of the machine tool. An axially-movable member is supported by the body for reciprocation along the longitudinal axis, and jaws which move radially as the axially movable member is reciprocated, are connected to the movable member for receiving and clamping a workpiece. The jaws are normally spring-biased to a preload or clamped position. A clamping stud is also connected to the movable member for receiving the draw bar gripping fingers. An initial stroke of the powered draw bar pulls the stud and registers the chuck onto the machine tool, and further stroke in the same direction displaces the clamping stud and movable member to provide the power-assist clamping to the workpiece.
