    摘要: A swather tractor has a frame defined by a main tractor frame carrying the cab, engine and drive system, rear axle with castor wheels and a transverse front frame assembly mounted at a front of the main frame. The front rigid frame assembly carries the header and comprises a cross member and a pair of upstanding legs each carrying a front ground wheel hydraulically driven so that steering is controlled by the rate of forward movement of the front wheels. In order to provide improved suspension, the main frame is connected to the front frame assembly by a coupling which allows up and down suspension movement of the main frame relative to the front frame assembly.

    摘要: In a swather formed by a tractor and attached heeder for cutting standing crop to form a swath, reel speed and optionally draper speed are controlled relative to ground speed by a control system including a manually operable input and display available to the operator. The control system can be used in an automatic mode to set an index value for an actual difference in reel speed relative to ground speed and to vary reel speed accordingly. In this mode a manually operable control varies the index. The control system can be switched by the operator to manual in which case the same control varies the actual reel speed. Minimum reel speed can be set by the same control and when operative the automatic system does not allow reel speed to fall below the minimum set value despite the values of index and ground speed. A crop-lodged switch is also provided which when operated acts to move the header to a lowered position and the move the reel to a forward most and lowermost position in a single operation controlled by the single switch.

    摘要: A hydrostatic agricultural tractor has front ground wheels mounted on the frame at fixed angles parallel to each other and parallel to a center line of the frame and rear ground wheels mounted on a respective castor, with each of the front ground wheels being driven by a respective drive motor which allows variable speed in both the first and second directions such that steering of the tractor is effected by a differential in speed between the front wheels with the rear wheels following the steering in a castoring action. A pair of damper cylinders is provided each connected between a bracket on a rear axle of the frame and a lever in the castor plane of the castor so as to provide a damping force tending to restrict rotation of the respective second wheel about the respective vertical pivot axis with the damping force at a maximum value when the rear wheels are parallel to the center line in either the forward or reverse directions.

    摘要: A control lever system for actuating the hydraulic pump of a hydrostatic transmission system of an agricultural vehicle includes a lever having a hand grip portion for actuation by the operator. The lever passes through an elongate slot in a console surface to control its movement. A lower end of the lever is connected to the pump. A friction resistance system is applied to the lever to generate a frictional force resisting the natural restoring force of the pump tending to move to the neutral postion. The friction resistance is applied only over the length of the slot relating to the forward movement of the pump so that there is no action at the neutral position or in reverse. The friction resistance includes a friction multiplier generated by a sub-lever portion pivotally mounted on the lever and biased by spring action when in contact with an abutment member to pinch a friction band so that the friction force generated by the band is greater than the spring action. The lever is shaped by an offset and by the inclination of the hand grip portion so that when pushed or pulled to move the lever from a set position the frictional resistance is reduced during movement and then automatically reapplied when the lever is released.
