    摘要: A multi-layered sealable film and method of storing and transporting a role of the film without buckling or starring, the film comprising a core layer comprising polypropylene sandwiched between at least a first and (optionally) second tie-layer on either side of the core; a sealable layer with two sides, one side adhered to the first tie-layer; wherein at least the first tie-layer comprising a blend of polypropylene and within the range of from 5 wt % to 40 wt % of a soft polymer additive, preferably a propylene-α-olefin elastomer having within the range of from 10 wt % to 30 wt % α-olefin derived units, wherein the blend is preferably partially or completely immiscible. A roll of the inventive films can be readily stored and transported without loss due to film defects.

    摘要: In one aspect is provided a film, a shrink sleeve film in a particular embodiment, comprising at least one core layer, one skin layer, and optionally one tie layer between the two, wherein the core comprises from 0 to 30 wt % polypropylene by weight of the core layer, and from 70 to 100 wt % of a random propylene-α-olefin copolymer having within the range of from 1 to 10 wt % α-olefins, the α-olefin selected from the group consisting of ethylene and C4 to C12 α-olefins, and having an MWD within the range of from 1.2 to 4.5 and a melting point within the range of from 110 to 150° C.; wherein the film possesses a TD Tensile Strength of from 100 to 400 MPa and a MD Tensile Strength of from 20 to 60 MPa. In a particular embodiment, the at least one skin layer comprises a solvent sealable material.

    摘要: The present invention relates to oriented or hot-blown shrink films which may be manufactured from by a number of processes. The oriented films may be manufactured by double bubble, LISIM, tape bubble, trapped bubble or tenter framing processes. The films of the present invention are useful as a shrink film to package and label a variety of products. The films exhibit a high degree of MD shrinkage in a very controlled and consistent manner while providing a number of other positive characteristics such as optical clarity, puncture and abrasion resistance, controlled gauge, and superior web winding and handling characteristics. The shrink control layers of the films of the present invention contain a modifier component selected from plastomers and/or metallocene catalyzed ethylene-propylene copolymers and blends thereof.
