摘要： The present invention is a system and method for generating and displaying a horse racing form for a completely virtual horse racing environment. The present invention stores a database of values for a virtual horse, each value corresponding to an attribute typically listed in a published daily racing form. In order to simulate horse racing performance, calculations are applied to the values, which are adjusted to account for an individual horse's running style, track preference, track condition preference, age, or other factors. The results of these calculations are then displayed on a horse racing form. Users of the present invention will be able to place educated bets, or handicap, using the horse racing form. The form may be used in a number of open or closed environments. As a result, the present invention provides a complete virtual horse racing environment based upon fully calculated and realistically weighted mathematical algorithms used to generate the horse racing form.

摘要： This disclosure provides systems and methods for detecting a change in environmental conditions utilizing sampling circuitry configured to sample an environmental sensor while a processor remains in a low-power state or a sleep state. According to some embodiments, a pre-filter performs a simplified analysis of the sensor samples to determine if the processor should wake and perform additional analysis on stored sensor samples. Specific examples are provided for detecting motion using passive infrared detectors. Accordingly, systems and methods for reducing the power consumption of a motion detection system are provided herein.

摘要： Disclosed are a scanner for demarcating each media sheet of one or more media sheets and a method thereof. The scanner includes a platen, a scanlid, an illuminating mechanism and a scanhead. The platen accommodates one or more media sheets. The scanlid is pivotally coupled to the platen and provides a background for scanning the one or more media sheets. The illuminating mechanism is coupled to the scanlid and capable of being activated for illuminating the background. The scanhead is configured to scan the one or more media sheets. A background image of the one or more media sheets is captured by activating the illuminating mechanism during scanning. A foreground image of the one or more media sheets is captured by deactivating the illuminating mechanism during scanning. Edges of each media sheet are detected based on the background image, and the detected edges demarcate each media sheet.

摘要： A support system for ground vibration testing of a large flexible structure. The system includes a plurality of light weight lifting mechanisms that impart an upward force sufficient to lift the flexible structure off the ground. The system also includes a plurality of lift beams coupled to the lifting mechanisms in a pendulous manner. Each lift beam attaches to the flexible structure at one of a plurality of designated jack points, and lifts the flexible structure off the ground when the upward force is imparted by the lifting mechanisms. Thus, the flexible structure is thereby pendulously suspending above the ground such that rigid body mode test data is decoupled from first flexible mode test data.

摘要： An electronic control for gas furnaces controls a two speed main blower fan and an induction draft fan based on 24 volt input signals from a room thermostat, a high limit and an ignition control including a gas valve. The input signals are coupled to input ports of a microprocessor through current limiting resistors and to AC ground through pull down resistors. AC ground is also connected to the IRQ port of the microprocessor. Output ports of the microprocessor are connected to a relay driver which in turn is connected to relays for energizing and de-energizing the fans. The control calibrates itself on a continuing periodic basis to read the AC inputs synchronously at the peak of their wave and can switch the relays asynchronously based on the Real Time Clock of the microprocessor or can be switched synchronously by providing a selected delay so that contact engagement and disengagement occurs at or near the zero crossing of the AC line voltage wave form. When used with resistive loads the relays are switch in response to a signal from the microprocessor which is delayed based on the mechanical switching time constant of the relays to provide contact closure and opening at the selected point on the AC line voltage wave form. An alternate embodiment shows a feedback network used to calibrate the specific delay period for each relay upon initialization. When used with inductive loads contact closing can be effected synchronously and contact opening asynchronously.

A measurement device may be mounted to the lifting beam and may be configured to engage a jack point associated with the component to determine a weight of the aircraft when the aircraft is lifted off the supporting surface.
