    摘要: A stroke simulator in a brake system includes a cylinder body, a piston movably inserted in the cylinder body, and a second elastic member adapted to be pressed by the piston. It functions to give a simulative operational feel to a brake lever by operating the brake lever to generate a fluid pressure in a front wheel master cylinder and transmit this fluid pressure to the cylinder body, thereby deforming the second elastic member through the piston, and wherein annular recesses are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the second elastic member.

    摘要: A braking device for a motorcycle for controlling a sudden increase in the braking force caused by a time lag from the time the amount of operation of a brake operating portion is detected until a change in hydraulic pressure of wheel braking means for improving the feel of braking. An input-side pressure sensor detects a master cylinder pressure and a hydraulic modulator creates a hydraulic pressure to be exerted on a brake caliper. A controller is provided for controlling the hydraulic pressure created by the hydraulic modulator in accordance with a detected signal provided from the input-side pressure sensor. In accordance with a change in the quantity per unit time of the detected signal provided from the input-side pressure sensor the controller limits a change speed of the hydraulic pressure created by the hydraulic modulator.

A transmission for a vehicle in which a plurality of transmission shafts are provided each of which supports a plurality of transmission gears in a row and are arranged in parallel so that mutually corresponding transmission gears are engaged and transmission gears rotating in synchronization with the hollow shaft are selectively switched. Every transmission shaft is provided with a clutch mechanism provided between the hollow shaft and each transmission gear for fitting the hollow shaft and each transmission gear or releasing the fitting and a clutch actuator housed in the hollow shaft and the clutch mechanism selectively fits any transmission gear to the hollow shaft according to the axial position of the clutch actuator.

    摘要: A hydraulic modulator includes a cylinder for slidably supporting a power piston and changing the volume of a hydraulic chamber communicating with brake calipers according to the sliding of the power piston, and an electric motor for sliding the power piston through a power transmitting mechanism. The cylinder extends parallel to a rotating shaft, and a rotational motion of the electric motor is converted into a linear motion on an axis parallel to the rotating shaft. The power transmitting mechanism is provided by a ball screw mechanism composed of a ball screw nut, balls, and a ball screw shaft for converting the rotational motion of the electric motor into the linear motion of the push slider. The push slider has a head portion coming into spherical contact with the power piston. The hydraulic modulator so configured has a small size, and an improved arrangement of components.

    摘要: To provide a vehicle-use brake device capable of performing a by-wire-method control of high accuracy in response to an inner pressure in a passage by using a pressure sensor possessing high resolution while causing no trouble in view of pressure proof performance. A master cylinder and a brake caliper are connected with each other by a main brake passage and a normally-open solenoid open/close valve V1 is provided to the passage. A reaction simulator is connected to the passage closer to the master cylinder side than the open/close valve V1 by way of a branch passage. A hydraulic modulator is connected to the passage closer to the brake caliper side than the open/close valve V1 by way of a supply/discharge passage. A normally-closed solenoid open/close valve V2 is provided to the branch passage, while a normally-closed solenoid open/close valve V3 is provided to the supply/discharge passage.

    摘要: A motorcycle brake system enables a smooth switching to a hydraulic loss simulator to provide an improved feeling of braking operation. A brake operating unit includes a brake caliper, an electromagnetic on-off valve (V1) which blocks a main brake passage, a pressure sensor, a hydraulic modulator, and a hydraulic loss simulator. The brake system allocates a braking force to front and rear wheels by controlling the hydraulic modulator based on a result of detection by the pressure sensor. The brake operating unit has a brake light switch for detecting the starting of operation thereof, actuates an electromagnetic on-off valve (V1) to block the main brake passage based on a result of detection by the brake light switch, and unblocks the main brake passage when a predetermined amount of time elapses without any input made to the pressure sensor in a standby state with the main brake passage blocked.

    摘要: A wheel braking controller of a vehicle includes a brake lever operated by a rider, a master cylinder generating a hydraulic pressure according to an operation force of the brake lever, and a brake caliper braking a front wheel based on operation of the brake lever, a channel switching unit provided between the master cylinder and the brake caliper and switching channels of a brake fluid. A hydraulic pressure generator generates a hydraulic pressure based on operation of the brake lever and the driving state of the vehicle and controlling braking of the front wheel using the brake caliper by the hydraulic pressure. A braking controller including the channel switching unit and the hydraulic pressure generator is integrally provided on one body. The wheel braking controller so configured reduces the number of parts, and provides for easy mounting of the controller on the vehicle body.
