摘要: A hydraulic control valve for an ATV or motorcycle takes hydraulic input from a hand brake lever as an input to a first cavity of the control valve with a movable piston therein, and from a foot brake lever as an input to a second cavity of the control valve with a movable piston therein, with the two pistons being linked. A bypass channel extends around the piston in the first cavity, which is closed off when the first piston moves longitudinally. The output of the first cavity hydraulically controls braking of the front wheel(s). The foot brake lever also pressurizes a direct line to brake the rear wheel(s) that doesn't go through the control valve.

摘要: A brake system includes a brake activator which first activates a central rear brake and lastly activates a front brake of a right front brake and a left front brake which is provided on a front wheel which is an inner wheel by operating an input member. When an operation amount of the input member from an initial state to a maximum operated state thereof is divided equally into three portions which are defined as a low braking force area, a middle braking force area, and a high braking force area, the brake activator activates the central rear brake, the right front brake, and the left front brake to operate in the low braking force area.

摘要: Motorcycles can become unstable when operating at high speeds and at high cornering levels. For example, they can exhibit an oscillation at the rear wheel commonly known as “weave.” A system and method is provided which utilizes a high-fidelity computer simulation model of a 2- or 3-wheel motorcycle to predict operating states such as yaw rate, lateral acceleration and roll angle for a stable motorcycle at a given speed and steer angle. The operating state of a physical motorcycle can be measured and compared to that of the model at every instant in time to determine if the operating state of the physical motorcycle differs from that of the simulation model in such a way as to indicate loss of stability. The nature of that difference can then be used to intervene in the operation of the motorcycle independent of driver actions by application of brakes, modulating the engine torque or applying torques to urge the steering system in a corrective direction. Thus by comparing the physical response of the motorcycle to that of the computer model in an on-board controller these interventions can be applied at a time and intensity to stabilize the motorcycle and prevent a loss of control.

摘要: A variable linked braking system controlled by motorcycle speed includes a brake master cylinder; a hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve connected to the brake master cylinder by an oil path; front and rear brake units connected to the hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve by first and second oil paths, respectively; a hydraulic pressure proportion controller for controlling the hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve; a motorcycle speed sensor for converting a sensed motorcycle speed into a speed signal and sending the speed signal to the hydraulic pressure proportion controller; and a brake switch for starting the brake master cylinder and sending a brake signal to the hydraulic pressure proportion controller for controlling the hydraulic pressure distribution proportion of the hydraulic pressure proportion variable valve so that the ratio of braking force of the front brake unit to braking force of the rear brake unit increases with the motorcycle speed.

摘要: A brake-aiding device includes a casing and a drive mechanism installed in the casing. The drive mechanism has a revolving axle, and first revolver, a second revolver and a driven revolver that rotate against the revolving axle. The driven revolver has at least one propping portion for providing unidirectional stop to the first revolver and the second revolver. When brake lever cables of a two-wheeled vehicle are connected to the first and second revolver, and front- and rear-wheel brake cables of the vehicle are connected to the driven revolver, by operating either of the vehicle's left and right brake levers, both of the vehicle's front and rear wheels are braked. During the braking, the rear wheel is brakes before the front wheel is brakes, and a braking force at the rear wheel keeps greater than a braking force at the front wheel braking force.
