摘要: A broadcast receiving terminal having a calculating process unit operated at different clock frequencies in response to modes executes a mode switching method comprising the below-mentioned steps. The mode switching method is comprised of: a step for judging whether or not a mode switching instruction is issued while the calculating process unit is operated; a step for setting the calculating process unit to an idling status when the mode switching instruction is issued; and a step for releasing the idling status of the calculating process unit.

摘要: A moving image process adjusting part 103 is provided that obtains decoding information from a moving image decoding part 101 to adjust the process of a moving image processing part 102 in accordance with a decoded state. When the decoding process of next moving image data is completed in the moving image decoding part 101 before the moving image process of current decoded data is finished in the moving image processing part 102, the moving image process adjusting part allows the moving image process to the current decoded data to be finished and the decoding process of subsequent moving image data to be started. Thus, a high frame rate can be realized.

摘要: A coordinate detecting method for a liquid crystal display unit has the steps of generating a second display control signal for controlling a display provided in a display period and a non-display period on the basis of a first display control signal set such that one frame is constructed by only the display period; the display period and the non-display periods being set such that an image is displayed on a liquid crystal panel in the display period and is not displayed on the liquid crystal panel in the non-display period; storing transmitted image data to a memory in accordance with timings shown by the first display control signal; reading these stored image data from the memory in accordance with timings shown by the second display control signal; displaying the image on the liquid crystal panel by the read image data and the second display control signal; and detecting coordinates by a detecting pen in the non-display period. A coordinate detecting method and an apparatus for a liquid crystal integral type tablet is also shown.

摘要: An electronic appliance is equipped with: a voice processing unit for executing one voice processing operation selected from plural sorts of voice processing operations; a zapping detecting unit for detecting a zapping condition; and a process switching unit for switching the presently executed voice processing operation to a different voice processing operation in response to a detection result for indicating whether or not the zapping condition is detected. When the zapping detecting unit detects the zapping condition, the process switching unit controls the voice processing unit to switch the presently executed voice processing operation to a voice processing operation which does not contain a sound quality improving function.

摘要: Power consumption, in an apparatus for generating a display unit drive voltage, is reduced. The potential at a point A is held substantially intermediately between V0 and V5 by a potential corrector 36. Voltage regulators 31, 32 supplied with V0 are connected through point A to voltage regulators 33, 34 supplied with voltage V5. Point A in turn is connected to a charger storing unit 35. The charge storing unit 35 stores the charge flowing into point A. Wasteful flow of electricity is thus eliminated for a reduction in power consumption.
