摘要： A hydraulic device includes a cover plate with a cylinder hole opposite an end surface of a rotating shaft of a gear which receives two thrust forces in the same direction. A piston extends through the cylinder hole. A working liquid in a high pressure side acts on a back surface of the piston to press the piston onto the end surface of the rotating shaft, thereby causing a drag that cancels the two thrust forces acting on the gear.

摘要： Disclosed is an image processing apparatus in which, when the apparatus has not been not used for a prescribed period of time, control is performed so as to halt feed of current not only to a display unit and fixing heater but also to other components not required to operate when the apparatus is not in use, and in which on/off control of the power supply also can be performed through a more compact and less expensive arrangement. When a manually operated switch is being pressed by an operator, a transistor is turned on via the contacts of the switch so that power from a smoothing unit is applied to a regulator. The regulator supplies operating power to a microcomputer, which subsequently controls the status of the apparatus power supply depending upon the on/off state of an output port of the microcomputer. Supply of driving power to other components of the apparatus is achieved by opening and closing contacts through control of a relay in response to an output from another output port of the microcomputer.

In an enlargement copying operation, the original is scanned for a length corresponding to a transfer paper sheet of a large size; in other copying operations, the original is scanned for a length corresponding to the size of the paper sheet. Over-heating of the original base is thus prevented during reproduction of copies of any size.

摘要： A stator for use in an electric rotating machine is provided which includes a stator winding wound through slots of a stator core. The stator winding is made up of a plurality of conductor segments connected together. Each of the conductor segments includes an in-slot portion disposed inside one of the slots and out-slot portions extending from the in-slot portion outside at least one of the ends of the stator core. Ends of the out-slot portions are joined together to form the stator winding. The joints of the ends of the out-slot portions have a given pattern of texture formed on surfaces thereof and coated with an insulating material. The pattern of texture enhances the adhesion of the insulating coatings to the surfaces of the joints and ensures the stability in electric insulation of the joints.

The light quantity controller further comprises a comparator to compare the energization signal to the light source with a reference signal to detect the degradation of the light source. The input device has a key matrix including a plurality of input ports and a plurality of output ports of a control unit interconnected through switches. A signal source independent from the output ports of the key matrix is connected to at least one of the input ports through switches.
