Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for managing a data stream distributed parallel processing service. The apparatus includes a service management unit, a Quality of Service (QoS) monitoring unit, and a scheduling unit. The service management unit registers a plurality of tasks constituting the data stream distributed parallel processing service. The QoS monitoring unit gathers information about the load of the plurality of tasks and information about the load of a plurality of nodes constituting a cluster which provides the data stream distributed parallel processing service. The scheduling unit arranges the plurality of tasks by distributing the plurality of tasks among the plurality of nodes based on the information about the load of the plurality of tasks and the information about the load of the plurality of nodes.

Disclosed is a data processing method and device according to the present invention, including: calculating a maximum allowable delay time of each of a plurality of operators that constitute a plurality of services and are executed according to a data processing request of a user; classifying the plurality of operators based on the calculated maximum allowable delay time; calculating a quality of service (QoS) satisfaction allowable level with respect to each of the plurality of operators, wherein the allowable level for QoS satisfaction indicates the number of times that there is no need to satisfy one goal of QoS with the premise that there is no problem in satisfying QoS satisfaction requested by the user; setting execution orders of the plurality of classified operators by reflecting the calculated allowable level for QoS satisfaction; and executing the plurality of operators based on the set execution orders.

Provided are a content-based searching method and system for multimedia objects using a high-dimensional feature vector data based on a 2-level signature. The method for searching the high-dimensional data using a signature file includes calculating a first-level query signature and a second-level query signature by using the query feature vector, performing a first filtering operation to obtain a primary candidate cell group by searching a second-level signature file, and performing a secondary filtering operation to obtain a secondary candidate cell group having a high similarity in a primary candidate cell group. Accordingly, the high-dimensional data searching method and system can process a query quickly and accurately and can increase the searching accuracy by using an enhanced signature of the query feature vector.

Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for managing the index information of high-dimensional data. The apparatus for managing the index information of high-dimensional data includes a plurality of data service devices and a control unit. Each of the plurality of data service devices is configured such that user data and index information used to search the user data are allocated thereto. The control unit is configured to extract high-dimensional index data from a large amount of input data and to allocate the extracted index data to the plurality of data service devices by mapping the extracted index data to the plurality of data service devices as the index information.

A stacked semiconductor device includes a first gate structure formed on a substrate, a first insulating interlayer covering the first gate structure on the substrate, a first active pattern formed through and on the first insulating interlayer and contacting the substrate, a second gate structure formed on the first active pattern and the first insulating interlayer, a buffer layer covering the second gate structure on the first active pattern and the first insulating interlayer, a second insulating interlayer formed on the buffer layer, and a contact plug formed through the first and second insulating interlayers, which contacts with the substrate and is insulated from the second gate structure by the buffer layer. Operation failures of a transistor in the stacked semiconductor device can be reduced because the buffer layer prevents a word line from being electrically connected to the contact plug.

Provided is an apparatus and method for performing intra prediction for an image decoder, in which by use of horizontal/vertical blocks adjacent to image data input from an external device, the intra prediction is performed in parallel with respect to 16×16 luminance component and 4×4 luminance component of the image data and then with respect to chrominance component, thereby maximizing efficiency of system to not only reduce execution time and hardware cost but also increase processing speed.

A distributed index system and method based on multi-length signature files are provided. The distributed index system includes a feature vector extracting unit, a high-dimensional index unit, a high-dimensional index managing unit. The feature vector extracting unit extracts N-dimensional feature vectors from multimedia object and identifier. The high-dimensional index unit establishes a tree-based distributed index according to the identifier of the multimedia object and the N-dimensional feature vectors, and determines a signature length by comparing number of leaf nodes of the established distributed index tree and a reference cluster size. The high-dimensional index managing unit generates signatures for each leaf node, on which the determined length is reflected, and stores the generated signatures by matching with the N-dimensional feature vectors.

Provided is a composition for preventing or alleviating skin wrinkles containing honeybush (Cyclopia intermedia) extract, a fraction thereof, or a fermented honeybush as an active ingredient. More particularly, the honeybush extract or fermented honeybush of the claimed subject matter can reduce the length and depth of skin wrinkles caused by UV irradiation and reduce the thickness of the epidermal layer, in addition to suppress collagen tissue breakdown reactions, indicating it is excellent in alleviating skin wrinkles, so that it can be effectively used as an active ingredient of a composition for preventing or alleviating skin wrinkles.
