    摘要: A method for maintaining dynamic register-level memory-mode flags in a virtual machine includes parsing a machine instruction of a live memory analysis command in a virtual machine (VM). The machine instruction can include an instruction opcode, a source address referring to a first type of memory and a destination address referring to a second type of memory. A register bitmap can be stored as a register-level memory-mode flag array. Thereafter, it can be determined whether or not the instruction opcode maps to an inheritance class. Finally, in response to a bit in the register-level memory mode flag array referencing virtual memory and the instruction opcode being mapped to an inheritance class, the register bitmap can be replaced with new bit values that represent redefined memory types for each register represented in the register bitmap. Subsequently, the new register bitmap can be used in simulation of a next machine instruction of a live memory analysis command executing in the virtual machine.

    摘要: A position indicating system for an elevator system includes a position indicator which operates in conjunction with an elevator control to provide an indication of elevator position and direction of travel by means of a display disposed within the elevator or at any position in the building. The position of the elevator is sensed by the elevator control and is converted into a multi-bit digital word which is transmitted serially over hoistway wires to the position indicator. The position indicator utilizes the multi-bit word to access a memory in which is stored a library of codes for character sets which may be indicated by the display. The proper codes are obtained from the memory and used to energize the display elements to illuminate the desired characters. By transmitting the position word in serial fashion to the position indicator, only six hoistway wires are required regardless of the number of position indicators utilized in the building. Further, a standardized library may be stored in the memory element, in turn permitting the position indicator to be mass produced.

    摘要: A definition module generates configuration instructions used to build one or more machines. The definition module generates the configuration instructions by drawing from a generic library of configuration objects having a variety of attributes and parameters associated therewith. A pre-established template defines how the information provided in the library is organized to build groups of machines. An inheritance mechanism is provided for automatically resolving unspecified parameter values by searching through a hierarchy of objects to determine the unspecified values. The definition module includes a graphical user interface having a tree display section for displaying a hierarchical tree of objects associated with the configuration instructions, a parameter display section for displaying parameters associated with the objects in the tree display section, and a properties display section for displaying properties associated with objects in the tree display section or the parameters in the parameter display section. The configuration instructions can be easily consolidated into packages and transferred from one site to another, or downloaded from a central site.
