    摘要: A print medium includes a plurality of print areas and a plurality of identification markers. The plurality of print areas are set along a longitudinal direction on a printing surface. The plurality of print areas are a plurality of areas on which printing is to be performed. The plurality of identification markers are intermittently printed along the longitudinal direction on the print medium. Each of the plurality of identification markers includes a set of leading edge information and identification information and is printed in correspondence with a single print area group. The leading edge information is information for setting a leading edge position of the print area in the feed direction. The identification information is information for identifying a type of the print medium. The print area group is formed of a plurality of mutually adjacent print areas among the plurality of print areas.

    摘要: The disclosure discloses a printer comprising a storage device, a feeder, a printing head, an instruction input portion, a first control portion, a detection determining portion, and a second control portion. The printing head performs desired printing on the print-receiving medium fed in a forward direction along a transport direction by a feeder. The instruction input portion inputs an operation instruction for starting print processing. The first control portion controls the feeder so as to start feeding of the print-receiving medium in the forward direction. The detection determining portion determines whether or not a detecting device detects the identifier after feeding in the forward direction was started. The second control portion controls the feeder so as to feed the print-receiving medium in a reverse direction, and to position a position of the print-receiving medium in a predetermined first initial position.

    摘要: A printer comprises a feeder, a printing head, and a detecting device. The feeder feeds a print-receiving tape having multiple print-receiving portions, each of the print-receiving portions having a detected element. The printing head forms desired printing on the print-receiving tape. The detecting device detects the detected element, provided on an upstream side of the printing head by a predetermined distance X. A first positioning reference is generated when the detecting device detects the detected element of a first print-receiving portion. The printing head may be controlled, when the detecting device detects the detected element of the first print-receiving portion, to perform print formation on a second print-receiving portion preceding the first print-receiving portion and facing the printing head, using the first positioning reference.
