摘要: An optical-pickup apparatus includes: a single-wavelength-laser diode to emit a first-laser beam; a two-wavelength-laser diode to emit second- and third-laser beams; an objective lens; a photodetector to be irradiated with first- to third-reflected-light beams of the first- to third-laser beams reflected from the signal-recording layers of first- to third-optical discs; an aberration-correcting plate to guide the second- and third-laser beams toward the lens, and correct astigmatism of the reflected-light beams, and guide the astigmatism-corrected-reflected-light beams toward the photodetector; a semitransparent mirror to guide, toward the lens, the first-laser beam and the second- and third-laser beams having been guided by the aberration-correcting plate, and guide the reflected-light beams toward the aberration-correcting plate; a quarter-wave plate to convert the first- to third-laser beams from linearly-polarized light into circularly-polarized light, and convert the reflected-light beams from circularly-polarized light into linearly-polarized light; and a divergent lens to correct aberration caused by the mirror.

摘要: An object of the invention is to provide a plastic objective lens having a good lens tilt property in both thicknesses of a two-layer disc in a used temperature range even in the plastic objective lens in which a numerical aperture (NA) is equal to or higher than 0.81, while dissolving the problem mentioned above. The objective lens includes a point at which a third order comma aberration amount generated at a time of a lens tilt of the objective lens becomes equal to a third order comma aberration amount generated at a time when a disc is tilted at the same angle amount as the lens tilt angle, in a transparent board thickness which is thicker than a larger thickness of the two-layer transparent board under a room temperature (25±3° C.).

摘要: A connector, particularly designed for attachment to an automobile door having an opening therein, including a hood passing through the opening when the device is installed. The hood carries, on one surface, a lock piece with an engagement projection and its distal end. Since the entire connector is molded of resin, contact with the perimeter of the opening in the door can scratch the sloped surface of the engagement projection and hinder its insertion. There is provided a metal cover fitting over a sloped surface of the lock piece so that, when the connector is inserted, there is only metal to metal contact between the perimeter of the opening and the cover of the slope surface. In this way, even if there is flash around the perimeter, the connector can be smoothly and readily attached.

摘要: A method for molding a polypropylene or a propylene copolymer having a syndiotactic structure which comprises the steps of melting, molding, if desired, quenching and then stretching a propylene homopolymer or a copolymer of propylene and a small amount of ethylene or another .alpha.-olefin which has a substantially syndiotactic structure, or a mixture of the same and a small amount of a polypropylene having a substantially isotactic structure. The molded and stretched article can be heated at a temperature of a molding temperature or more, while a load is applied to the article. Furthermore, the molded and stretched article, if desired, can be treated with a hydrocarbon vapor, while a load is applied to the article. The molded article obtained by the method of the present invention has a novel crystalline structure.

摘要: A block copolymer of propylene is produced by using propylene itself as a liquid medium, conducting continuous polymerization (former-stage polymerization) of propylene alone or propylene and a small amount of ethylene at first and then conducting batchwise copolymerization (latter-stage polymerization) of ethylene and propylene. The amount of an activity improver to be added to a polymerization tank for the latter-stage polymerization and/or the polymerization time of the latter-stage polymerization are controlled in accordance with the amount of a slurry transferred from a polymerization tank for the former-stage polymerization to the polymerization tank for the latter-stage polymerization so as to maintain the ratio of the amount of the polymer polymerized by the former-stage polymerization to the amount of the polymer polymerized by the latter-stage polymerization constant in the block copolymer.
