摘要: A system comprising a device and a monitoring unit configured to monitor the mechanical health of the device is disclosed. The monitoring unit may comprise at least one actuator, at least one sensor and at least one processing resource. The at least one actuator may be configured to vibrate the device and the at least one sensor may be configured to detect a corresponding output of the device. The at least one processing resource may be configured to process the output detected by the at least one sensor and to assess the mechanical health of the device by comparing the detected output of the device to a healthy fingerprint of the device, wherein the healthy fingerprint is an output of the particular device being tested when it is free of mechanical defects.

摘要: A processor includes one or more processing units, an execution pipeline and control circuitry. The execution pipeline includes at least first and second pipeline stages that are cascaded so that program instructions, specifying operations to be performed by the processing units in successive cycles of the pipeline, are fetched from a memory by the first pipeline stage and conveyed to the second pipeline stage, which causes the processing units to perform the specified operations. The control circuitry is coupled, upon determining that a program instruction that is present in the second pipeline stage in a first cycle of the pipeline is to be executed again in a subsequent cycle of the pipeline, to cause the execution pipeline to reuse the program instruction in one of the pipeline stages without re-fetching the program instruction from the memory.

摘要: A device and method for cannula insertion into a users tissue are disclosed. A patch pump comprising a non-linear needle path with a first bend may be provided. A rigid needle may be located in the needle path and may be composed of a material that allows the rigid needle to maintain a bend at the first bend when traversing the non-linear needle path. A movement mechanism may be configured to apply force on a first end of the rigid needle to cause the rigid needle to traverse the non-linear needle path from a first needle position to a second needle position. A cannula may receive a force from a second end of the rigid needle when the movement mechanism applies the force on the first end of the rigid needle and configured to traverse from a first cannula position to a second cannula position based on the force.

摘要: An apparatus and method for the aseptic delivery of a solution in a wearable form factor is disclosed. A patch pump may include a start button that, upon activation, causes an elastic fluid path to move. The elastic fluid path may include a first end that moves along a first plane to penetrate a solution container as well as a second end that moves, concurrently, along a second plane to penetrate a user's tissue. The elastic fluid path may maintain its flow resistance during the concurrent movement. The patch pump's housing may include a door with an opening configured to enable the second end to penetrate a user via the opening. The door may open when the device is removed from the user such that a portion of the open door may extend further than the second end of the elastic fluid path to prevent exposure of the second end.

摘要: A device and method are disclosed for an elastic strip with a first fixed end and a second movable end, the elastic strip configured to be in at least one of a tense state and an elastic state. A release mechanism is configured to maintain the elastic strip in a tense state when the release mechanism is in a holding state, and configured to release the elastic strip when in a release state. A needle path with a first bend is provided. A rigid needle is configured to traverse a first portion of the needle path when the elastic strip is in the elastic state and a cannula is located in the needle path and configured to traverse a second portion of the needle path when the rigid needle traverses the first portion of the needle path.
