摘要： An end play restriction wedge restricts the end play of a rotatable shaft with respect to a housing. The end play restriction wedge includes a female-wedge housing and a male wedge. The female-wedge housing has a U-shaped cross-section defined by an intermediate wall and outwardly extending side walls connected adjacent each end of the intermediate wall. The intermediate wall has a thrust plate surface along one side and an angled ramp along an opposite side. The angled ramp and outwardly extending side walls define a tapered aperture extending through the housing with an enlarged opening adjacent a first end of the housing. The male wedge is positioned adjacent the enlarged opening of the housing to be driven into the tapered aperture in response to an external force acting on an outer end of the wedge. The wedge has an angled camming surface engageable with the angled ramp after entering the aperture of the housing for driving the thrust plate surface toward the free end of the rotatable shaft to be engaged.

摘要： Brush holder for a DC motor is disclosed as having at least one brush box for housing a brush biased radially toward an opening through the brush holder. A brush retainer is provided for preventing the brush from entering the opening of the brush holder until the rotor of the DC motor is assembled to the stator, where the brush retainer is releasably attached to an annular wall defining the brush holder opening. The brush holder also includes means for capturing the brush retainer once it is displaced axially during assembly of the rotor to the stator, as well as means for retaining a printed circuit board in position between the brush holder and the stator end cap.

摘要： A superlock assembly includes a motor having a pinion mounted on its output shaft and meshed to an output gear. A blocking arm is secured to the output gear. To engage the superlock assembly when the arm of the locking actuator is extended, the motor is powered to move the blocking arm into the path of the retractable arm. In this position, the arm cannot be retracted either through manual force or electric operation of the actuator, thereby preventing a door latch from being unlocked.

The force is generated by passing an electrical current through an armature spanning a space across a magnetic field established between two permanent magnets. The armature is mounted upon a slider extending between a pair of electrically conductive rails.
