    摘要： Embodiments described herein allow for the creation of templates from existing web pages, making it possible to create pages. Embodiments can provide visual tools so that a user can convert an existing web site or web page into a template. The template may be made available to a web content management application for the creation of web pages. According to one embodiment, a template developer can visually identify selectable portions of the web page in a rendering of the web page; receive a first component selection of a first selected portion of the web page; and store template data comprising the first component selection. A template builder can create a template and components based on the template data in a format consumable by a web content management system.

For each electronic document, the system may retrieve the electronic document from a digital data storage medium, extract metadata from the electronic document, determine size, orientation, and format of the electronic document, generate indicators for indicating the start and end of the electronic document to be stored on an analog data storage medium, generate an analog document identifier for identifying the electronic document on the analog data storage medium, generate a scaled image of the electronic document based on the size, orientation, and format of the electronic document, generate a text string based at least in part on the extracted metadata, and render the indicators, the analog document identifier, the scaled image of the electronic document, and the text string on the analog data storage medium.

Prior to the binding, a graphical indication of the software component and a graphical indication of the feature of the software component are displayed. In addition, an indication of an element of the data component is displayed in a display area approximately adjacent to the displayed software component. The data binding system receives a user input command to bind the data component to the feature of the software component. The user input command may include dragging the indication of an element of the data component from the data component display area to the feature of the software component and subsequently dropping it on the feature. As a result, the data binding system automatically generates script or code that provides executable instructions to bind the feature of the software component to the data component.
