Abstract:
There are provided measures for handover control for backhaul connections, said measures exemplarily including evaluation of the suitability of an access node cell in access network as target for a handover of a terminal based on delay information being indicative of an expected packet delay in a cell of the access node, wherein such delay information may be generated and/or exchanged in the access network. Said measures may exemplarily be applied for improving handover control in relay-enhanced access networks or networks that contain access nodes connected via different kinds of backhaul that can result in different end-to-end packet delays.
Abstract:
Some embodiments provide a mobile relay node, RN, (16) with complete and valid neighbor cell information. The RN (16) requests this information from a donor base station (12) upon detecting a defined condition characteristically indicating that movement of the RN (16) has rendered previously obtained neighbor cell information incomplete or invalid. The RN (16) may generate the request to identify cells (18) currently neighboring the mobile cell (20). The donor base station (12) may then provide the RN (16) information that more specifically pertains to the mobile cell's neighbors, rather than generally pertaining to the donor cell's neighbors. Other embodiments compensate for the RN's incomplete or invalid neighbor cell information. These embodiments permit the RN (16) to identify a target cell (18) with a non-unique cell identifier in a handover message sent to the donor base station (12). The donor base station (12) resolves this non-unique identifier and replaces it with the corresponding unique identifier for sending the message towards the target cell (18).
Abstract:
An indication of the speed of movement of a UE in a radio communications system is received (801) at a network node of the radio communications system. The parameters of the radio communications system are then analyzed (803) using the speed of movement indication. The system parameters are then adjusted (805) using the analysis.
Abstract:
Embodiments herein relate to a method in a second network node (13,14) for detecting a short stay handover of a user equipment (11) in a second cell (16) in a telecommunication system (10). The user equipment (11) is handed over from a first cell (15) to the second cell (16) and from the second cell (16) to a third cell (17) in the telecommunication system (10). The second network node sends, to a first network node (12,18), an indication in a message that a short stay handover has occurred when determined that the user equipment (11) is handed over to the third cell (17) before a time threshold, thereby enabling the first network node (12,18) to detect the short stay handover.
Abstract:
Example embodiments are directed towards establishing a base station (401A) to base station (401B) interface for receiving and sending communications on the interface for providing bearer management functions for bearers associated with a user equipment (101) in multiple connectivity with at least two base stations.
Abstract:
There are provided measures for proximity reporting procedures in radio access, for example in heterogeneous network environments, said measures exemplarily including sending, to a serving base station representing a source of mobility of a user equipment, a first proximity indication indicating proximity to a microcell base station representing a target of mobility of said user equipment, said first proximity indication including a carrier according to a preceding access of said user equipment to the microcell base station, and, when detecting the microcell base station on said carrier according to the preceding access fails, sending, to the serving base station, a second proximity indication indicating proximity to the microcell base station, said second proximity indication including a carrier being different from said carrier according to the preceding access. Said measures may exemplarily be applied for mobility procedures in LTE, LTE-Advanced, HSPA and/or UMTS radio access systems.

The Evaluating Device is adapted for determining an available network configuration and for determining a required network configuration. The Deploying Device is adapted for meeting the required network configuration by deploying at least one Network Apparatus of the group of Network Apparatuses consisting of a Relaying Apparatus and the Deploying Apparatus in accordance with the required network configuration.
Abstract:
An enhanced solution for controlling a handover procedure for handing a terminal device over from a source cell to a target cell in a communication network with relay nodes is provided. In the solution, the relay nodes actively assist in the handover procedure by, for instance, initiating the handover procedure, configuring a relayed link and buffering user data at the relay node.
Abstract:
A method, including receiving, at a donor access node from a relay node associated with the donor access node, an identification of one or more other access nodes detected at the relay node and sending configuration information about said relay node from said donor access node to at least one of said one or more other access nodes in advance of an indication that a user equipment associated with the relay node has detected said at least one other access node, without at the same time sending said configuration information to at least one further access node that is detected by one or more other relay nodes or user equipments associated with the donor access node but not detected by said relay node. Wherein said configuration information includes information for setting up a communication with the relay node other than via a core network associated with the donor access node.
Abstract:
It is disclosed a method (and related apparatus) including deciding a handover of a terminal from a relaying source entity to a relaying target entity based on information related to at least one link between the relaying source and target entities and source and target network access entities.
