The input device comprises a perforated tape reader containing a scanner unit for scanning standardized teleprinter perforated tapes which possess a number of parallel information tracks formed by information perforations and a feed track formed by feed perforations. The information perforations have a different diameter than the feed perforations. The scanner unit or device is connected with a circuit which, based upon the signals received from the scanner device, determines which of the scanned tracks constitute the information tracks and which the feed track.

    摘要: A method of, and apparatus for, the synchronization of a deciphering device operating as a receiver with an enciphering device operating as a transmitter, wherein at the transmitter end between information pulse series at a fixed spacing from one another there are inserted a given number of auxiliary pulses similar to the information pulses. Each inserted auxiliary pulse series is produced from the previously inserted auxiliary pulse series in accordance with a predetermined formation principle. At the receiver end the pulse series transmitted by the transmitter is stored in a storage and the stored pulses compared with comparison pulse series in order to determine coincidence of the stored auxiliary pulser series with the comparison pulse series. The comparison pulse series possess the same number of pulses and are formed according to the same formation principle as the auxiliary pulse series. After determination of coincidence of the comparison pulse series with the stored auxiliary pulse series the latter are separated from the stored information pulse series.

    摘要: A method of, and apparatus for, enciphering and deciphering audio information which is subdivided into partial blocks along a time axis, the partial blocks being mutually interchangeable according to key information. The incoming analog audio signals are subdivided into a number of frequency bands, each of which is assigned to an information channel. The analog audio signals of each information channel are converted into digital signals which are subdivided into main blocks along the time axis. The main blocks of equal time of each information channel are subdivided into sub-sections of the same magnitude with respect to time and which are interchanged, in accordance with the key information with sub-sections of the same main block or with sub-sections of a time-equal (i.e. isochronal) main block of another information channel. After the interchange in each information channel, the digital signals are converted into analog signals and the interchanged sub-sections are group together into new main blocks, in order to render possible a further processing of the time-equal or isochronal new main blocks of each information channel.

    摘要: An enciphering and deciphering apparatus in the form of a typewriter having an input device for the input of characters to be processed, a control device for the input of control commands determining the mode of operation of the apparatus and an output device possessing at least one page printer. A display device is connectable with the input device for the stepwise progressive display of the infed characters. The output side of the display device can be selectively connected with the printer, with a cipher computer or a key character storage associated with the cipher computer. The cipher computer has its output side connectable with the printer. A central control unit is provided which can be controlled by the control device. The central control unit fixes as a function of the infed control commands the data routes in the apparatus and controls the components of the apparatus, and depending upon the infed control commands the printer receives and prints the characters displayed by the display device or the characters produced by the cipher computer.

    摘要: A method of, and apparatus for, synchronizing a receiver end-Key Generator with a transmitter end-Key Generator wherein both Key Generators are coupled with a respective counter such that each counter state of each counter characterizes a place or position of the Key pulse chain produced by the associated Key Generator. Each counter state is formed in accordance with a formation principle from the preceding counter state. The counter state of the counter of the transmitter end-Key Generator is transmitted to the receiver end and there compared with the counter state of the counter of the receiver end-Key Generator and whenever there is a difference between both counter states the receiver end-Key Generator stepped forward until the difference is again zero. The receiver end-Key Generator is stepped forward when the determined difference of the counter states is smaller than a threshold value and such Key Generator is stepped forward in jumps which encompass many individual advancing steps whenever the difference of the counter states exceeds the aforesaid threshold value.

    摘要: A transmitting and a receiving station for generating, converting and transmitting and receiving speech signals are disclosed. The transmitting station includes a transducer for converting an acoustical signal into an analogue electrical signal and a band limiting filter for filtering out those components of the analogue electrical signal which have frequencies falling above or below a predetermined frequency band. An emphasizing circuit adjusts the amplitude of those frequency components of the band limited analogue electrical signal falling within the predetermined frequency band such that the power of each of the components is substantially equal. A syllabic amplitude compressor having a forward acting regulation time constant which is greater than its backward acting regulation time constant regulates the amplitude of the adjusted, band limited, analogue electrical signal. An analogue-to-digital converter samples the regulated, adjusted, band limited electrical analogue signal at a sampling rate which is less than twice the maximum of frequency of the predetermined frequency band. The analogue-to-digital converter has a non-linear quantization characteristic with smaller quantizing steps at signal input levels of smaller magnitude and larger quantizing steps at signal input levels of higher value.

    摘要: An electronic enciphering- and deciphering apparatus in the form of a pocket calculator, comprising an input device for the input of characters to be processed, a control device for the input of control commands determining the function of the apparatus, an output device for the display of information, and a power source for the apparatus. A primary storage or memory serves for the storage of the entered character information, the output side of which can be connected with the output device and a cipher computer which can be connected at its output side with the output device. At least one key character storage is operatively associated with the cipher computer, the key character storage being connectable with the input device. A central control unit can be controlled by the control device. The control unit, as a function of the entered control commands, determines the information paths in the apparatus and controls the aforementioned components, so that depending upon the entered control commands the output device displays the character information entered at the input device or the information stored in the primary storage or the character information produced by the cipher computer.
