    摘要: Polynucleate metal hydroxide anionic compounds and method for their production. The compounds have the formula: MaNb(OH)cXdYeZf.(H2O)g wherein M is a tri- or more valent metal ion; N is a divalent metal ion that forms a soluble salt with anions X, Y or Z; OH represents the level of basicity; X is a monovalent anion; Y is a divalent anion; Z is a trivalent anion; a is 1; b is from 0.15 to 2.0; c is from 0.3 to 5; d is from 0 to 3; e is from 0.1 to 2.25; f is from 0 to 1; and g is greater than 4 where the compound is in the form of an aqueous solution, or from 0 to 20 where the compound is not in the form of an aqueous solution. The compounds are useful for water treatment for removal of suspended solids and for various applications in the paper industry.

    摘要: A process is provided for fabricating metallic patterns such as resonant RF-tuned circuits on a polyolefin film such as polyethylene or polypropylene film. The film is processed under conditions such as to maintain its mechanical integrity by being passed through a solvent plasticizing bath, an etch bath to provide attraction sites and adhesion for catalytic metal deposition, a conditioning bath to improve catalyst adhesion and a catalyst bath to deposit a catalytic metal for electroless metal deposition. A negative image is printed on the film and an electroless metal deposit followed by an electrolytic metal plate are applied to the film to produce the desired metallic patterns. Optionally, prior to the printing step, an electroless metal deposit, with or without a thin electrolytic metal plate, can be applied to the total film surface. Thereafter, a negative or positive printed image is coated on the film. When these optional steps are utilized, the electroless metal deposit, thin electrolytic metal plate and printed image are selectively removed to leave the thick electrolytic metal plate on the electroless metal deposit in the form of the desired pattern.

Use of this admixture in place of bone char exclusively results in significantly improved decolorization. The GAC/BC admixture can be effectively reactivated at a temperature within the limit of 900.degree. F. to 1200.degree. F.

    摘要: A resonant tag circuit is provided which is useful in conjunction with an electronic security system for preventing theft of articles from a protected area. The tag circuit comprises an electrically insulating substrate having a spiral conductive path on each surface of the substrate. The spiral conductive paths are positioned to overlap each other to effect distributed capacitance. The degree of overlap of the distributed capacitance portion of the conductive paths is such that it provides at least 70%, preferably 90% and most preferably 100% of the total overlapping portions of the circuit.
