Abstract:
Energy usage of a plurality of appliances is measured using a single meter. A pattern of energy usage with respect to the plurality of appliances is determined dependent upon the measured energy usage, appliance details of the plurality of appliances, and usage hours of the plurality of appliances. The pattern is provided to a user of the appliances.
Abstract:
A vertebral implant for installation in a disc space is disclosed that includes a body defining a first vertebral support rail and a second vertebral support rail extending along a vertical axis. Each vertebral support rail is separated by a channel running circumferentially around at least a portion of the body along a longitudinal axis of the body. The first vertebral support rail has a first height and the second vertebral support rail has a second height. The first height is smaller than the second height. The height or apex of each vertebral support rail is sized and configured to match the concave nature of the endplates of vertebra of the spine.
Abstract:
An automation controller that includes a central processing unit configured to communicate via an input/output module with automation devices of a process controlled by the automation controller. The automation controller also includes a retention feature configured to toollessly couple with a detachable display and memory module. Further, the automation controller includes a controller connector configured to communicatively couple with a display connector of the detachable display and memory module such that the automation controller and the detachable display and memory module are communicatively coupled, wherein the central processing unit is configured to transmit data for presentation on a display of the detachable display and memory module and configured to receive data from a memory and/or a data entry feature of the detachable display and memory module when the detachable display and memory module is communicatively coupled to the automation controller.
Abstract:
A parallel operation keyboard (POK) which enables a user to provide multiple inputs simultaneously in managing a process control plant. A lock is provided to disable such simultaneous inputs. In an embodiment, multiple groups of keys are provided, with each group of keys being operable independently to modify the parameter value of a corresponding control loop. A network management station (NMS) and a server are designed to provide a suitable interface. In one implementation, each group of keys contains four keys respectively specifying increasing the parameter value, decreasing the parameter value, manual mode (in which the present level of the variable is controlled by the increase/decrease keys) and normal mode (in which the set point, i.e., the desired value, for the variable is controlled).

Abstract:
A method and system comprising an analysis module to perform automated analysis of a process supported by a process system. The analysis is performed based on data quality information that indicates a quality of process data stored in datastores to facilitate performance of the process by consumption of the process data. The system may further include process model information defining a plurality of process activities, the automated analysis being based at least in part on the process model information. The data quality information may indicate the age, validity, completeness, integrity, consistency, and/or accuracy of the process data. The analysis may be to calculate a risk of failure of the process, or may be to diagnose a cause of process failure.

Abstract:
A method and system comprising at least one database to store process model information comprising logical process model information and human resource dependency information. The human resource dependency information may indicate design-time dependence of process activities on respective human resource components and may comprise one or more role identifiers associated with at least some process activities and a set of role category identifiers associated with at least one of the role identifiers. The set of role category identifiers indicates a plurality of alternative role categories that are applicable to the corresponding role. The role mapping module is provided to receive user input to associate sets of role category editors with responding role identifiers. A bill generator may analyze the logical process model information and human resource dependency information in order to generate a human resource requirement bill that includes a listing of human resource roles and role categories required for performance of the process.
Abstract:
A method and system comprising a process model analysis module to perform analysis of a process supported by a process system. The analysis is performed based on process information which includes a logical process model defining a series of activities. The process model information further includes IT system dependency information which includes datastore dependency information indicative of datastores which are accessed in execution of respective activities. The process model information also includes data dependency information indicative of dependency of process activities on data in the one or more datastores.
