摘要: Techniques for receiving a voice command from a user and, in response, providing audible content to the user using a first device and providing visual content for the user using a second device. In some instances, the first device includes a microphone for generating audio signals that include user speech, as well as a speaker for outputting audible content in response to identified voice commands from the speech. However, the first device might not include a display for displaying graphical content. As such, the first device may be configured to identify devices that include displays and that are proximate to the first device. The first device may then instruct one or more of these other devices to output visual content associated with a user's voice command.

摘要: A device that includes a microphone and a speaker may capture audio uttered by a user. The device, or another device, may then perform a particular operation in response to the captured audio. A user's cell phone number may be associated with the device. When an incoming call is directed to the user's cell phone, the device may generate a notification. The user may utter a command that causes the device to establish an audio connection with a cellular carrier network, thereby facilitating the phone conversation while bypassing the cell phone. Similarly, a user may make an outgoing call associated with the user's cell phone. The outgoing call is facilitated through an audio connection between the device and the cellular carrier network, bypassing the cell phone.

摘要: An audio-based system may perform audio beamforming and/or sound source localization based on multiple input microphone signals. Each input microphone signal can be calibrated to a reference based on the energy of the microphone signal in comparison to an energy indicated by the reference. Specifically, respective gains may be applied to each input microphone signal, wherein each gain is calculated as a ratio of a energy reference to the energy of the input microphone signal.

摘要: Audio clipping is prevented by attenuating an audio signal in accordance with values retrieved from a gain table. Corresponding amplitude values of a stereo audio signal are evaluated to determine a maximum of the values. The amount by which the maximum exceeds a predetermined threshold is used to calculate a table index, which is used to retrieve a gain value from the gain table. The gain value is then applied to the audio signal. The gain table is configured so that increasing index values produce decreasing gain values.

摘要: Techniques for enhancing audio at a network-accessible computing platform and then providing the enhanced audio to a client device. By enhancing the audio remotely at the computing platform rather than locally at the client device, the client device need not include the infrastructure (e.g., hardware and software) required to perform these audio enhancements. Therefore, the client device may be manufactured at a lesser expense as compared to devices that perform the enhancements themselves. Instead, the client devices described herein simply receive the pre-enhanced audio and directly output this audio.

摘要: Described herein are techniques and systems to determine movement of an imaging device (egomotion) using an analysis of images captured the by imaging device. The imaging device, while in a first position, may capture a first image of an environment. The image may be a depth map, a still photograph, or other type of image that enables identification of objects, reference features, and/or other characteristics of the environment. The imaging device may then capture a second image from a second position within the environment after the imaging devices moves from the first position to the second position. A comparison of corresponding reference features from the first image and second image may be used to determine translation and rotation of the imaging device.

In various embodiments, a light sensor may identify a light emitter based on characteristics of the light emitted by the light emitter.

摘要: Techniques for determining when to perform an action associated with a voice command and when to disregard the voice command. In some instances, the techniques reference an identity of a user that utters a command when making this determination. For instance, if a first user awakens a device or initially begins providing voice commands to the device, the device or another computing device may perform actions associated with subsequent voice commands uttered by the same user, while disregarding voice commands from other users. That is, because the device is engaging in a dialog with a first user, the device may refrain from engaging in a dialog with a different user. Additionally or alternatively, the device may begin a new dialog with the different user, either upon identifying the command of the other user or upon finishing the dialog with the first user.
