    摘要: A refrigerant unit associated with a product transport container is provided with a dual-path, parallel flow expansion circuit. The expansion circuit includes a primary expansion device disposed in a primary refrigerant flow path and an auxiliary expansion device disposed in a secondary refrigerant flow path. During operation of the refrigeration unit in a stable temperature maintenance mode, refrigerant flow is supplied to the evaporator coil through the primary refrigerant flow path only. During operation of the refrigeration unit in a temperature pull-down mode, to increase the refrigerant mass flow through the evaporator coil, refrigeration flow is supplied to the evaporator coil through the primary refrigerant flow path and the secondary refrigerant flow path of the expansion circuit.

    摘要: A transport refrigeration system is provided with a variable speed compressor which is operated only in the low capacity perishable range of operation. In this way, the line voltage and frequency power can be used during high capacity operation and a relatively small inverter can be used to provide variable voltage and frequency for the variable speed operation. The variable voltage and frequency can also be provided to a variable speed condenser motor to provide additional condensing capacity during economized operation. It can also be used to provide DC voltage to the compressor for heating purposes.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are disclosed for controlling dehumidification of an airflow to be conditioned for supply to a climate controlled space. The airflow to be conditioned is passed over a plurality of refrigerant conveying conduits of an evaporator of a refrigerant vapor compression thereby cooling the airflow. A controller operates the refrigeration vapor compression system to maintain the airflow at a set point air temperature indicative of a desired temperature within the climate controlled space. The controller also adjusts an evaporator expansion device for controlling the flow of refrigerant through the evaporator so as to reduce the temperature of the refrigerant within the refrigerant conveying conduits of the evaporator whenever further dehumidification of the air flow to be conditioned is desired.

    摘要: A refrigerated container having an air compressor for maintaining a controlled atmosphere includes provisions for cooling the ambient air being drawn in by the air compressor to thereby prevent corrosion in the air compressor. A condensing line heat exchanger is connected between an inlet port and the compressor and is so disposed that the evaporator fan passes air thereover to provide cooling to the ambient air passing therethrough such that condensation forms within the tube. A water separator is included in the system to remove condensate and allow the drier air to pass to the compressor. The water separator is so constructed as to allow for the free flow of air therethrough with very little restriction. A drain fitting in the water separator is so constructed as to prevent spattering that might otherwise occur.
