    摘要： The invention relates to a method of producing a vehicle interior lining, especially a dashboard having a carrier part and, attached to the carrier part, a gas bag module containing a gas bag carrier and a gas bag that has a folded package section. The gas bag, together with its package section, is placed into a gas bag receptacle that is formed on the gas bag carrier and that has an outlet opening for the gas bag. The outlet opening is at least partially closed in the area of the package section by a rigid part. An outside surface of the carrier part is foam-encapsulated with a plastic layer in a state in which the gas bag module is connected to the carrier part. Moreover, the invention relates to a vehicle interior lining.

    摘要： A gas bag module for a vehicle occupant restraint system has a generally trough-shaped housing, a folded gas bag and an insert for insertion into the housing. The housing has a face wall with an opening. The gas bag module further comprises a tubular inflator. The tubular inflator is inserted into the housing through the opening in the face wall of the housing. The housing has an inner side with supporting faces for the insert. The insert has integral rim portions surrounded by an inflation opening in the gas bag. The insert is provided with an integral guide plate extending substantially parallel to inner surface areas of the housing and slightly spaced away therefrom. The insert comprises, opposite the opening in the face wall of the housing, a corresponding opening for passage of the inflator. The inflator protrudes outwardly from the opening in the face wall of the housing. The insert is clamped at the rim portions against the supporting faces of the housing.

    摘要： A gas bag module for use in vehicles has a housing and an inflator arranged on the bottom of the housing. A normally folded gas bag is accommodated within the housing. A diffusor is arranged between the inflator and the folded gas bag. The diffusor consists of a first diffusor part fixed to the bottom of the housing and a second diffusor part movably mounted on the first diffusor part. The second diffusor part is movable with respect to the first diffusor part from a normal retracted position closer to the bottom of the housing to an advanced position further away from the bottom of the housing under the action of gas pressure generated by the inflator.

    摘要： A method of folding a gas bag for a vehicle occupant restraint system is disclosed, this gas bag having a wall delimiting a chamber and having an inflation opening, the inflation opening having a rim. The method comprises the following steps: First, the gas bag is spread out on a base. Then, the rim of the inflation opening of the gas bag is held fixed. Thereafter, a plate is arranged parallel to the base and at a distance therefrom, so that the gas bag extends between the base and the plate. Subsequently, the chamber of the gas bag is exposed to a pressurized medium, so that the gas bag unfolds between the base and the plate. Finally, the wall of the gas bag is pressed inwards at a plurality of sites distributed over a circumference of the gas bag. Further, a gas bag folded by performing this method and a device for performing the method are disclosed.
