A molding composition is described and comprises a mixture of interpenetrating polymers. A first phase comprises a crosslinked isobutene polymer, and a second phase encompasses a reinforcing polymer comprising (meth)acrylic and/or vinylaromatic units. The first phase is the reaction product of an isobutene polymer having an average of at least 1.4 functional groups in the molecule and of a crosslinking agent having an average of at least two functional groups in the molecule, the functionality of these being complementary to that of the functional groups of the isobutene polymer. The molding composition is particularly suitable for the roofing of buildings, or as impact-modified polystyrene or polymethyl methacrylate.

Initially, the electronic device is capable of performing the base function but the enhanced function is disabled. The electronic device is priced to be price competitive with other devices that perform the base function but not the enhanced function. By this pricing, large numbers of the electronic devices are disseminated into the marketplace. Once an electronic device has been disseminated and supplied to a user, the user can make an additional payment to have the enhanced function enabled. In one embodiment, a user who pays for the enhanced functionality accesses a web-based license manager and receives a license key. The license key is usable to write a capabilities code into the electronic device that enables the enhanced function.

This invention relates to novel pure hydrocarbyl succinylating agents, substantially pure derivatives thereof, to a method of preparation of pure substituted succinylating agents and their derivatives, and to the use of thereof as additives for fuels and lubricants. The hydrocarbyl substituted succinylating agents are pure because the real and apparent mole ratios of the succinyl groups to the hydrocarbyl groups in such agents are substantially the same. These are produced by reacting an olefin polymer such as poly(iso)butylene with maleic anhydride to form a hydrocarbyl substitued succinylating agent which is then cleaned by solvent extraction to remove any impurities therein before use in further reactions.
